I love coloring images and was wondering what is your favorite coloring technique? I'll use anything, watercolors, pencils, copics.. but I LOVE prisma pencils blended with Gamsol!

I don't do a lot of image colouring but when I do I usually use thinned down acrylic paint. I have tons of it from my decorative painting days.
I am considering trying coloured pencils with gamsol. Just haven't gotten around to that yet.

I have copies, watercolor pencils, gamsol. But I love using a blender pen and distress inks. I only wish the mini pads were out when I bought mine.

A blender pen is an odorless & colorless pen filled with a glycerin based liquid that allows you to blend colors of any water based coloring medium. It does not get your paper as wet as using a water brush. I've had a stroke & don't have as much control over my fine finger movement as I used to. I think the blending pen allows me more control when water coloring or painting with water based markers, watercolor pencils or re-inkers. They do not have to be rinsed to clean, just wipe the points lightly on a paper towel or rag to remove the color. Most are not very compatible with alcohol inks. There are some special ones made for alcohol markers, but they usually are color removers. Here is a link to a tutorial using Distress Inks & a blender pen: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxKmYlxyUgYAnd here is one using watercolor pencils & a blender pen - it gets better after the 1st 2 minutes or so: www.youtube.com/watch?v=sShEGp5Lot4

Skippet, your cards are beautiful.
I love using markers on the stamps also. For coloring in the images I tend to use water color pencils and a water brush and copics the most.

Skippet, I love your cards.
I also had a stroke which paralyzed my dominant left hand from the elbow down. I also have a neurological disease similar to MS. I really want to create more art projects, but my limitations makes a lot of the old art projects I did much more difficult--like calligraphy.
I'm sorry you had a stroke, and I hope you continue to heal.
Your cards are so awesome they have inspired me to jump into card making. I'm just so used to freehand drawing, painting, and decorative writing that it's difficult to think of alternatives.
I have started collecting Copic markers--I wanted alcohol based that I could use on fabrics as well. I have a large Amazon gift card and was going to invest in Copic markers, but I'm not sure what kits to get. There are a couple of large kits, but I don't want a lot of duplicates. I do love the markers and how easy they are to use and blend. I can get a really cool, professional look without needing to use as much detail work that is difficult without fine motor skills.

I've been using Copics, but recently I saw a very cute coloring job that was done with colored pencils, so I hunted mine up and put them in my cropping bag to take with me from now on.

If I'm coloring in an image that I've already stamped I love using Copics with Memento. If I just want the image to be outlined in a color I color the stamps themselves with Stampin' Up markers.

I primarily use Copics, but have also used chalks, colored pencils and Tombow markers. One of these days I'm going to try the water color pencils that were given to me. Just haven't taken time to play with them.

I love using my SU Blendabilities. Before I had them I used Spectrum Noirs, but never got the blended look I do with the SU.

I love my Prismacolor watercolor pencils. I have a little trouble with fine details but having a variety of brushes is helping. I like the look of comics, but pencils are much more cost effective for me.
