I bought one of these for $3 at the thrift store today. Anyone know where I can find the coils or whatever you use to do the binding? Their website looks like it is stuck in 1998 and it hurts my eyes to try to figure it out. I bought the tool because I thought maybe I could use it to make neat little journals or books from vintage papers and ephemera.

Amazon? Scrapbook.com?
I am pretty sure my Hobby Lobby carries them as well.

I got a big stash of coils from a random website that was having a sale. I think that was at least 6 yrs ago! Amazon should have them.

I bought mine from an independent website (just googled binding coil) and Amazon. Lots of places that sell them. And sites with information. Have fun!

I buy mine from Ebay & Hobby Lobby. I can't stop laughing about your comment on Zutter's website. I really agree.

Hobby Lobby has them. It's a different brand, but they fit.

Hobby Lobby has them. It's a different brand, but they fit. In fact, any 2:1 pitch wire coils will work. I had a big project needing a bunch of the same size so I found a binding place online to order them in bulk. They were much cheaper that way.

Wow for $3, you got a deal! I have the Pink Bind-it-All and the turquoise Cinch (round hole). I hesitated SO long because I prefer square holes. The moment I went to Hobby Lobby 80 miles away armed with my 40% off coupon and got my Cinch, they announced the square hole version a few weeks later. I STILL prefer the holes in my Bind-it-all because the are smaller, actually more rectangle than square. Since I already have a 3:1 binder and a plastic comb binder, I am NOT getting any more! Good covers for albums, journals, books etc. is mat board from a framing shop. Many framing shops will let you buy their scraps cheap or will even give you scraps. You can use as is or cover with whatever you want. Your Bind-it-All should cut the holes just fine in mat board. I like both my machines for different reasons but the BIA closes the wires better than the Cinch. Also, I have the adapter that allows me to cut closer to the edge. That is important if you are binding music books or cookbooks and don't want to cut into your music or words. They haven't come out with an adapter for the Cinch yet, plus the holes ARE bigger in the Cinch. They are 2:1 so any wire that also fits the Cinch will fit it. If you lived close to me, I could give you some wires because I have a ton that I got cheap at Binding Depot a couple of years ago. It was should I buy 50 wires for what I'd buy only 4 wires for? I lucked out, they had a clearance of several sizes I wanted, not all were colors I loved but they were colors that would go with most things. If you get white, you can splatter or pour alcohol ink over it (in a baggie) to make unusual color patterns. Good sizes to have are 5/8 and 3/4's. 7/8's and 1 inch to 1-1/4 inch are good if you are binding something really big, like a cookbook or something. You should be able to get Cinch wires and coils at Hobby Lobby in the store and ONLINE only at Joanns.com. If you have any questions, about the BIA or anything, let me know and I'll try to help.

I got a bunch in different colors on-line recently from Marcos Paper. I was looking for different sizes in colors other than white or black.
