I usually order my supplies from Amazon. I hate the Silhouette vinyl with a passion. You don't get enough, it's expensive, the colors are limited, and I've found the vinyl will release from the backing sheet while in the Cameo, ruining the entire cut. I just threw the rest of the last roll away. I use the vinyl from Craft E Vinyl with great results and I can buy black vinyl in 40 foot rolls for way less than $1 a foot.
As for mats, I find Amazon's price comparable to Silhouette's sales, I don't have to pay for shipping or get a big enough order to qualify for free shipping, and the order is here in 2 days vs 2 weeks. I always keep a spare mat on hand--more than once I've forgotten to change the blade setting and cut through my mat. You can tape the cut mat from the back, but one time the paper came off the mat and then the blade went crazy cutting. There was no fixing that mat!
I have a spare blade, but you only need 1 blade a year, even with the amount of use mine gets. I like the Cricut spatula vs the Silhouette brand. The blade is thinner and bigger and better for sliding under delicate cuts. I use the scraper that came with my mat, but you can use a CC from the fake ones in the offers that come in the mail, or a kitchen scraper. They all work the same--to get the little bits off the mat.
If you like adhesive CS, get a Xyron machine. You can take any color CS and make it adhesive CS for a fraction of the cost.
Hope this helps!
