"And on the seventh day God finished his Daily December album that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his scrapping that he had done." It's Sunday funday! And I thought that with all the Christmas pre-order madness we're facing, a little quiz aimed at the true scrapper spirit in us all would be a good idea. You're welcome to answer in a succinct style or elaborate. You can use pictures to illustrate. You can skip any question you're not feeling. There are no rules but having a good time! 1. If I were a "celebrity" scrapper, I'd be... 2. If I were a collection component (12x12 paper pad, ephemera pack, stickers, etc.), I'd be... 3. If I were a seasonal product, I'd be... 4. If I were a colour palette, I'd be... 5. If I were a sentiment sticker, I'd read... 6. If I were a core kit, I'd be called... 7. If I were a pattern paper, I'd be...

This looks like FUN!!!
1. If I were a "celebrity" scrapper, I'd be Debbie Hodge, always trying to find new ways to tell stories with photos and supplies.
2. If I were a collection component (12x12 paper pad, ephemera pack, stickers, etc.), I'd be the happy stickers I want to only scrap the happy times. My reason/excuse is that when times are tough (as they often are) we really NEED to remember how much we love each other and how happy we CAN be.
3. If I were a seasonal product, I'd be glittery snowflakes. No Christmas card or winter page is complete without a few of them! 4. If I were a colour palette, I'd be changed each season. Pastels for spring, rich primary colours for summer, browns and golds and oranges for fall, and navy, teal, red & white for winter.
5. If I were a sentiment sticker, I'd read "Thinking of YOU" Goes with everything whether happy or sad. And I don't think of everyone every day, but card making seems to bring on all the memories of shared times in the past and hopes/dreams for the future with that person...
6. If I were a core kit, I'd be called Fun with FAMILY. I love scrapping about all the interactions between siblings and/or cousins; love getting a photo of that look between people that says it all. And my kit would provide a background to show off those photos.
7. If I were a pattern paper, I'd be monotone stripes or dots or small icons. I am often drawn to the larger images on pp, but in the end, I usually choose the papers that are truly BACKGROUND to my pix.

1. If I were a "celebrity" scrapper, I'd be... This one is hard. I really like Victoria Marie and she inspired me to start using all my crap. So that is who I would pick. 2. If I were a collection component (12x12 paper pad, ephemera pack, stickers, etc.), I'd be... October Afternoon Witch Hazel 3. If I were a seasonal product, I'd be... Hahaha. Halloween! 4. If I were a colour palette, I'd be... We are Christmas traditionalists, but I like the pinks and mint colors in the winter. 5. If I were a sentiment sticker, I'd read... Beach, please! 6. If I were a core kit, I'd be called... Summer dreams 7. If I were a pattern paper, I'd be... Something colorful
ETA: I missed the worded component in question 2. I guess I would be the thickers.

Now that the dishes are done, the clothes for work ironed and the evening is on its way to turning into night over here, it's my turn to answer. 1. If I were a "celebrity" scrapper, I'd be Kelly Purkey. I have been in pocket-page-only mode for a while now, I'm into the picture-heavy spreads and I'm definitely a clean minimalist who likes to keep it bright, full of puns and the occasional pop culture reference. 2. If I were a collection component (12x12 paper pad, ephemera pack, stickers, etc.), I'd be the occasional sheet of tiny word stickers. "Ugh", "but first coffee", "happy place", "yay!", yep, totally me! 3. If I were a seasonal product, I'd be the January motivational quotes card sets! Every new year is my year! 4. If I were a colour palette, I'd be classic but bold. Navy blue, blood red, white. Timeless. 5. If I were a sentiment sticker, I'd read " Oh fudge!" or something like that. My life's a mess, a happy one most of the times. But everyday comes with its lot of hurdles to overcome and I really don't mind that. Or acknowledging it. My documenting tends to include quite a few "oops" moments. 6. If I were a core kit, I'd be called Discotheques and the City. I'd be a core kit full of urban living-inspired patterns and designs. It's not easy to find cards to illustrate waiting for an Uber or going out for late drinks with friends or the joy of seeing the sun set behind the tall buildings. The SB market mainly targets family life. I'd shake it up a bit for this minority's sake! 7. If I were a pattern paper, I'd be your typical French nautical stripe. Simple, classic, chic, fresh, never out of style. Works with almost every colour or black & white picture too. #maximumflexibility

1. If I were a "celebrity" scrapper, I'd be...old-school Becky Higgins (from the CK Sketch days) 2. If I were a collection component (12x12 paper pad, ephemera pack, stickers, etc.), I'd be...cardstock - practical but not very exciting 3. If I were a seasonal product, I'd be...stickers sheets of good intentions/resolutions for the New Year 4. If I were a colour palette, I'd be...crayola colours 5. If I were a sentiment sticker, I'd read...good enough 6. If I were a core kit, I'd be called...basics 7. If I were a pattern paper, I'd be...bright and cheerful

1. If I were a "celebrity" scrapper, I'd be... pre pocket page Becky Higgins. Everyone knows her. She's made lots of money scrapping my 8.5x11 style and has stood the test of time. I think she is probably caught up on her scrapping. I would not be getting into the wrapping paper business though. 2. If I were a collection component (12x12 paper pad, ephemera pack, stickers, etc.), I'd be... 3D stickers like jolies or soft spoken 3. If I were a seasonal product, I'd be... Fall with gold foil accents on me 4. If I were a colour palette, I'd be... beach colors blues, greens, beige 5. If I were a sentiment sticker, I'd read... Love my boys 6. If I were a core kit, I'd be called... Mothers and sons 7. If I were a pattern paper, I'd be... beach - sun, sand, waves

1. If I were a "celebrity" scrapper, I'd be... Wealthy, gorgeous, and famous for doing a hobby I love. No, really, I have no idea who I'd be. 2. If I were a collection component (12x12 paper pad, ephemera pack, stickers, etc.), I'd be... Matching enamel dots that everyone coveted when they first came out, but due to shipping and supply issues, I'd end up in Tuesday Morning about six months after I was the hot thing.3. If I were a seasonal product, I'd be... Halloween paper that had a ton of purple in it.
Christmas paper without pink in it.
Easter paper that was more bold colors than pastels.
4. If I were a colour palette, I'd be... Autumn. With lots of oranges!
5. If I were a sentiment sticker, I'd read... "Brilliant!" so that I could read it in a British accent in my head every time I looked at a layout.
6. If I were a core kit, I'd be called... Versatile.
I'd come with 3x4" and 4x6" base cards that were white, kraft, or black.
Then I'd have layer cards in numerous colors, to layer over the base cards, so that only an outline of white/kraft/black showed.
Then I'd have sentiment stickers that could be added anywhere on the final layered card. Placed on the color I wanted, where (on the card) I wanted.
7. If I were a pattern paper, I'd be... Double-sided, bright on one side, subtle and subdued on the other.

Ok...here goes
1) I'm no good with this one because I know some of the names but not really much about any one in particular. It would be someone with clean and simple lines though. 2) I would be a chipboard element because all things chipboard make me happy and I would like to make others happy too! 3) For a seasonal product I would have to pick lovely bright autumn leaves from my favourite season. 4) Colour palette is difficult too because I love all the colours but lately I have been loving the aqua and navy pairing with a bright added in like yellow or possibly pink 5) My sentiment would be something like Enjoy the everyday moments or Treasure the little things in life. I don't have a lot of BIG stuff in my life so my scrapbooks are mostly about the little everyday things like walking the dogs. 6)My core kit would definitely be "It's a Dogs Life" ... love my fur kids and can't get enough pet paper. 7)If I were a pattern paper it would have to be paw prints and hearts lovingly thrown together on the same page.

Fun questions, but what does this have to do with Chinese? I should have anticipated this and explained since the term isn't very widespread. Oops! A Chinese portrait is simply a metaphorical self-comparison questionaire. This fun little exercise isn't actually originally from China but from the fancy literary salons around the 17th century. The enigma game was all about someone trying to guess which character (historical, living, mythological, fictious) someone else or the entire group was pretending to be. You know the drill: "Is it a she or a he?" and so on. The Chinese portrait was a slightly more fun and more difficult version of it: the participants were only allowed to ask questions about it in metaphorical form ("If he/she were an animal, what would it be?" etc.) and is centuries later used as a simple way to describe and explore the self! Mystery solved.

1. If I were a "celebrity" scrapper, I'd be... Anderson Cooper 2. If I were a collection component (12x12 paper pad, ephemera pack, stickers, etc.), I'd be...a Thickers alphabet--I love fonts and words. 3. If I were a seasonal product, I'd be...various sizes of enamel "dots" shaped like bats 4. If I were a colour palette, I'd be...black, white, grey and green 5. If I were a sentiment sticker, I'd read...Zzzzz 6. If I were a core kit, I'd be called...NC-17 because of the mature content--as in no pastels, no cutesy animals, no outdated slang 7. If I were a pattern paper, I'd be... a sensible and versatile grid
