and the other is a GDI (do they still say that)? Yes. Proudly. My two daughters were at a University Women's luncheon. An elderly lady asked if they were GDI - and they laughed and said yes. She she said "good for you!!!!" .. . I about fell off my chair laughing. You just never know with them old gals. Some of them have a lot of spitfire! Oh yes! I was a GDI along with one other girl on my hall freshman year. We were the only ones who didn't rush. We made posters for each other on Bid Day and our RA made us take them down! She said we were insulting the other girls, when really we just wanted cute posters, too! My sister, however, was an Alpha Omicron Pi and loved it. I guess you could say I was a Pi Sigma Alpha (national political science honor society).

My daughter is a senior in high school and doesn't plan to join a sorority (she hopes to make the dance team at her college). But we visited University of South Carolina this summer and the Greek houses were beautiful! She says if she goes to USC, she would consider it!

Alpha Sigma Alpha! Hey to my fellow sister upthread~ Hi ASA sister! Can I ask what chapter you are from? I'd rather not say, if that's ok. ![](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Trying to keep a little anonymity on the board... I wish I remembered all of the cool secret phrases, handshakes, and stuff from initiation. All of that is ***whoosh*** out of my brain!

This just popped up on my Facebook feed. I thought you all might enjoy it; it made me tear up. ClemsonLIFE Goes GreekI had never heard of it, but ClemsonLIFE is a program "for students with intellectual disabilities who desire a postsecondary experience on a college campus."

I didn't join a sorority but instead was a "little sister" with my then boyfriend's frat. My DD is a junior this year and is a sister with a relatively new/young sorority, Theta Alpha and she LOVES it!

Intresting that Alpha Chi Omega has so many people here. Is it a really big sorority? Or is it just coincidence? Alpha Chi Omega = "Almost" Chi Omega. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) (Just kidding).

I have gotten in touch with them, but scheduling conflicts have not allowed me to get involved yet. I'm glad you enjoy your alum group. You are inspiring me to quit lurking with mine. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

I had a roommate in college who was a DST. She was a grad student and we didn't have a chapter on our campus, so we adopted her. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) There was a chapter at a nearby campus and they would sometimes send their pledges to our suite. You just brought back a lot of fun memories jbelle!
