Has anyone been to one of these events? There's one coming closeish to me but I'm not sure if it's worth the drive. The website isn't a wealth of information. It only lists the city and I can't find the actual address of the expo, suggested hotels, or any contact information anywhere. Wondering if these are red flags for a less than stellar expo. Gosh I miss CKU

I have been to the Denver one several times. I just go for the day and wander around to get ideas. It is also the same date as another city, so I don't think we get all of the exhibitors that other cities do. There is also a two day crop that people go to at the same time that I have heard positive things about. I would say if you don't have to drive too far (I drive about 75 minutes) and don't have really high expectations, it is like shopping in a new LSS that has lots and lots of stamp stuff, but not as much scrapbooking materials. There are some fun demos to see also. I wouldn't drive too far, but it is nice to see some different things.

There's one coming very close to me. The Saturday date is a day my crafty group has a planned get together so there has been some talk in heading over to check out the shopping. I like to support these events (so they'll continue to come) but this one seems expensive. One day admission to shop is $10.

This is the show I've been to twice in a row now in Atlanta with friends. I think the all day crops are totally worth it. They give out a ton of prizes and it's good stuff. Plus the space is comfortable and well-lit, at least in Atlanta. I like being able to come and go to shop the exhibitors, go to eat, etc and just leave my stuff. If you sign up, commit to staying there from 5pm until it ends that night bc that's when they do the giveaways and you need to be present to win Now the shopping for me is not why I go. I didn't buy a lot this year. There are a lot of stamping and die booths, which I'm not interested in. But I did buy a ton of enamel dots at the Eyelet Outlet (they had a big table of various packages and colors for $2 each). And a bunch of washi tape somewhere. And I always get cute embellishments at the Queen & Co. Booth and spend a lot of time looking at all their examples. Nicole Peterson's booth is also great for the latest and greatest scrapping stuff. I'm not interested in deals on old product or paper pieced kits, so I usually pass over booths that are selling that kind of thing. I spent just a few hours looking at the booths and went back to my cropping table to get some stuff done. The classes are fun. Check out YouTube for reviews on this year's classes. I like the Latest and Greatest classes and feel like you get a lot for your money in those. I took the scrapbooking "collections" one and really love the stuff we got. The latest and greatest "tools" one looked interesting too but I had some of the tools they were showcasing so I didn't sign up. If you buy a class, you get free admission to the expo/shopping the day of your class. So if I were you, I'd take a class Friday and shop that day. Then I'd just do the crop on Saturday and not plan on heading into the shopping part. You don't need two days of shopping, I don't think. I'm jealous! Wish I could go with you I look forward to this girl time at the Expo every year!!!

You can buy admission tickets online for $8 and get early entrance.
I'm going to the one in Mesa. Still planning my classes.
Check youtube for class reviews and shopping haul videos. I always enjoy going even when I went by myself. Everyone is very friendly and just happy to be there.

I've been to the last few that have been in Southern California, both Anaheim and Ontario. The classes are good, the crops are fun, there is lots of shopping available, and everyone is happy to be there. I plan to go back for more on the fall!
There are a few threads here you might search for regarding specific classes at various locations. I particularly liked Nicole Petersen's class on inks, and the Heartfelt Creations card class.

I have been going for around 20 years to the one in Illinois. I love it and look forward to it every year!
