Update! - All the materials are gone! Thank you everyone!
I used to teach 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades but have been out of the classroom for 13 years since I had my daughter. I hung on to a lot of materials because I wasn't sure if I'd go back to teaching. I finally decided it was time for everything to find other homes instead of wasting away in my basement.
So I'm gifting it all to any teachers here on the board - free and free of postage. I always feel the excitement of this time of year as teacher, classroom, and supply threads pop up. I love and respect the job you do and if you'll ACTUALLY USE any of these materials, I'd love for you to have them. Granted, this is probably not the best time to do this, and I don't know how to get around the whole giving me your address thing. You could alternately give me your school address, but that might seem creepy too. I promise, I won't save your address beyond me writing it on the box. Some of the things in the photos I no longer have after a garage sale last month. I'll do my best to remember and list descriptions and amounts.
Many of them are in groups enough for class sets, so, choose up to four groups of things - just so others can have a chance to choose things too. Post below the sets of materials you would like, then message me the address you want it sent to. If not everything goes and you want more than four sets of things, then for sure just ask. I hope that makes sense?
ETA - I am going to strike through items already taken.
Primary Balance Scales and Gram Stackers - I have 6 sets left.
Probably 30 measuring tapes.
A set of geometric solids that can be opened to fill and measure volume, a set of Cuisinaire Rods, a basic operations overhead calculator, dozens of 6 inch plastic rulers, 40 or so plastic protractors, plastic 12 inch rulers, one set of proportional reasoning cards, a set of hundred square tiles (1-100) for the overhead (clear), a set of ones, tens, and hundred units for the overhead (orange). The Teddy Bear Counters and wooden rulers are gone.
A set of calculator operations riddles (where you follow the directions then turn the calculator upside down to see a word for the answer) and a very old calculator.
Argh! This photo is such a mess - I hope you can make out the materials. About30 glass eyedroppers, about 50 magnifying glasses, a dozen pulleys, about 40 thermometers mounted on cards, a dozen thermometers in plastic, a dozen small mirrors, a dozen plastic measuring cups, plastic funnels, a set of glass graduated cylinders (yellow), a set of large various sized graduated clylinders, a set of about a dozen (I think 100 ml) plastic graduated cylinders, 20 or so metal pans.
