For those of you using the Absorber - mine came yesterday. Do you cut it into smaller pieces? In 1/2 or 1/4? And I know this is dumb, but I assume you are using it wet?

Yes, I cut mine down. once it's mostly black from ink I wash it with soap and it cleans up pretty well. I think the distress inks in the blue range stain pretty permanently but they do lighten with cleaning. I store mine folded in an open container and get it wet when I'm ready to use it again.

I cut about 1/4 of it off. I keep it in a cute bowl from target and just rewet it each time I use it.

I cut mine down to maybe a 5x7 piece. Yes, wet it to use it. When it dries, it will be quite hard. Just wet it down again. Don't be concerned about the stains. They won't affect the Absorber's cleaning ability and do not transfer the ink back to the stamp. Wash it if it bothers you - I just throw mine out when it gets really bad and cut a new piece.

I bought one at the fair last year, but I can't find it. Maybe we'll go this year and get another one. We bought it because it was so hot at the fair, so we wet it and wore it on our necks to cool off.

I bought a purple Absorber at Walmart automotive department a couple of months ago. I measured the one on my desk, it is 6x8 inches. I have a smaller one and cut a couple to gift to other people and still have a lot! I just rinse it out. The Tuxedo Black Memento does stain it but I rinse it all the time and it doesn't transfer. It is the BEST stamp cleaner I've ever had. I use dye and pigment but never Staz-on.
