I'm in a quandary...I have 4 different banks of drawers in my kitchen...only one bank has drawers that are all the same height. The other banks have drawers of various heights.
Originally, the drawers had basic knob handles and on each of the 12 drawers the knobs were placed smack dab in the middle of the drawer front.
I am updating with cup pulls. I started on the bank with the 4 drawers of the same height and placed the cup pulls in the same placement on each....basically centred the holes on the drawer front. I need to work on the drawers of varied heights. Should I place the cup pulls in the centre of each drawer front or centre the pull in the narrowest drawer and place the other handles the same distance from the top of each respective drawer front?
Thanks for your help. I'm going to google images to see what I can find.

Center them on each drawer.

We put the cup pulls on our drawer (various sizes and depths). They are all centered on the center of the drawer, per the designer.

I faced the same question when we remodeled our kitchen a while ago.
In our situation, I have 4 drawers. The top 3 are shallow (all the same size), and the bottom one is deeper. We centered the pulls on the top 3 drawers, but not the bottom drawer. Whatever the distance was from the pull to the top of the drawers (the top 3 drawers) was what we used on the bottom drawer.
So the 4 pulls are all equal distance from each other. I think it looks good.
And a side benefit is that I don't have to reach as low to open the bottom drawer.

Center them on each drawer. I've found that overthinking it often leads to wrong choice and tell myself KISS (keep it simple stupid) That and the fact the I know someone I used to work with insist on putting drawer pull off center like that and it literally puts drawer out of balance. He pulled it all the way out and flipped it once. or twice. or three times...

So you are simply replacing the knobs for cup pulls? If so, I'd stick with how you had them/centered so that the cup pulls will cover up the holes where the knobs used to be.

I actually filled in the holes with wood filler. I went from out of style golden oak to white. You guys aren't much help...about 50/50 lol and Google shows both options too. I guess it's personal preference...but I'm having a hard time deciding thanks for your comments!

If I was buying a house already finished with either method I wouldn't bat an eyelash at the choice. It's just so difficult for ME to make the choice lol!

No matter the size of the drawer place the pulls in the center from side to side and the same distance down from the top of each drawer.

We redid our house a few years ago and never paid attention to what the installers did. Ours are centered on each drawer front.

Ha! I actually filled in the holes with wood filler. I went from out of style golden oak to white. Since you don't have to cover up an existing hole, either way works. What style are your cabinets? Do they have a frame around them (i.e. shaker style)? I've seen some people mount the cup pulls on the frame vs. the panel. Also, how deep is your deepest drawer? If it's a very deep drawer, like a pull out trash cabinet, I don't think I'd center the cup.
