Their quality is what I call commercial grade. I've had some photos come out crummy and others are fine.
I would use Snapfish for "everyday" photos -- the same group shots we take at New Year's Eve, for instance. Or summer pool parties. But when I sent in a group of photos that we scanned from my mother's slides (shhh, it's her Christmas present), those 800 had a lot of disappointments in the package. A lot of cut off heads, weird colors. Same with my Rhine River cruise batch. Maybe it's the sheer size of the order that made the difference.
I'm checking out AdoramaPix at the moment. They are more expensive at .23 to .27 per 4 x 6, but if the quality is worth that, I'll likely split my orders into "keepsake" and "nice to haves." Snapfish gets the "nice to haves."

I used to order from Snapfish YEARS ago (like probably 10 years ago) and I was happy with them but I did end up changing where I had photos developed but I can't remember why. I think I will still give it a whirl at this price.

I use Snapfish every month for printing photos. I have found it to be reliably good quality. And their customer service is excellent. If you don't like the quality, or if there is an error, use their customer service link on their site and they will get back to you and make it right.

I do agree with this. When I had my summer portraits printed (taken at JCP), I ordered from Mpix. Some photos are totally worth the extra expense to have them look very high quality. But I do like Snapfish for most of my printing needs.
