...do you still avoid it, does seeing a picture or scent of it bring you back to that time you got sick over it?
The Pioneer Woman posted a recipe (and picture) of her creamed corn.
While creamed corn may in fact be delicious, it was the last thing I ate when I was 11 years old before throwing up over and over again one night.
To this day, I cannot look at creamed corn without my stomach making a slight turn.

For me it was tacos for years. I can eat them now but I'm not a big fan.

Yes and no.
I ate chili for the entire 9 months of my pregnancy - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I threw it up more times than I care to remember. It's still my favorite food.
On the other hand, I associate jello with being sick and I cannot manage to swallow it no matter how I try now.

DD and I had the Norwalk virus several years back. Pimiento cheese sandwiches are still a no-no. We are still scarred from that one!

My mom's goulash (which to be honest was gross even before the night I spent in bathroom after having it) and Sonic's jalapeno poppers. Luckily I moved away from home within a year or so of the goulash incident.
My family and close friends know me as "bionic nose" . . . unfortunately even the smells can take me back. I don't like jalapenos in any capacity now, and mexican food is my FAVORITE.

I got sick on Campbell's cream of asparagus soup when I was about three or four years old, and I cannot eat asparagus to this day.
I also got very sick on lemonade after a surgery once, and it was years before I could drink lemonade again. That shit is not fun to throw up!

Seafood, 15 or 16, haven't been able to eat it since
Which sucks because I used to love crab and lobster. I try it every couple of years and have the same reaction.
Even the smallest makes me queasy

I have definitely had that happen. Usually it's months or years before I even want to think about said food again. It was chili in 7th grade (can't remember how long it took to get over that one). Hot dogs in 6th (still not crazy about them). Currently, I'm "never eating at Chipotle again". It could be never, it could be a year.

Tequila. Even the margarita scented hand sanitizer at B&BW makes me cringe.

I will not go anywhere near Snapple. I had 3 sips of a very rancid one and was deathly ill for a month. I won't buy them for my kids or watch people drink them. Snapple SUCKS!

Cold chicken off of a bone. And colored icing that you use for Christmas cookies. When I was little, my brother and I ate a bunch of icing while we were frosting Christmas cookies. He threw up first and that was enough to make me throw up. I can eat icing now but seeing it in bowls all colored and stuff still brings me back. LOL
