I am organizing all of my photos. All 10's of thousands of them.
I am almost done. But now I have a big stack of cd's that came with photos back in the day (hello? early 2000's).
How do you store yours? I have been keeping mine in a Martha Stewart fabric covered box, just the size of the cd. But now the box is falling apart and I need to do something else.
Thoughts?

Are they labeled on the cd or just the case? I would put them in a big cd case holder. I still have 2 for my cd collection (I know, right?) and I love the ease to just grab them and go. Obviously not as easy as digital mp3s and usb and whatever, but I love the books with the cds dang it!

I have a box from ikea that is made for CDs. They stand up and there is plenty of room. I have several of the same box and have repurposed them over many years. They are still very sturdy. they com flat and you "build" them. Mine have metal on the corners of the lid.

I dont have a cd case holder...maybe target will?

Oh, Amazon Prime has this one: link and Target online has these: link so you have tons of options! Good luck organizing! I have photos on freaking floppy discs that I need to work on at some point, as well as the old video camera tapes. I'm saving that project for when all my kids are in school in a few years though.

I use a huge CD wallet that has about 250 pockets. I need another one.

www.walmart.com/ip/Teknmotion-120-Disc-Carrying-Case-Black/17129161I'm not sure this is the exact one I have (I have 2 of them) but it's certainly very similar and at about the same price point. I got mine from Walmart years ago - they fit nicely on my shelf. Although I am considering purging the CDs - the photos on them have either been printed (or arent' going to be printed) and are ALSO on my computer and backed up to an external drive and to Carbonite.

CDs aren't exactly a safe long term storage option but nevertheless, I store them in a CD binder from Target.

They are backed up in 3 places and I would never grab a CD to find a photo--they are all organized and on the cloud. So much safer if there is ever a fire or the data deteriorates over time.

I keep my old photo CDs (and negatives and APS film rolls) as another layer of backup. I guess one day they might not work, but I figure it doesn't hurt. I got a little CD binder from www.pfile.com/ (Probably not the cheapest source but I was getting some specialized storage from them like binders/protectors for negatives).
