1. Apropos of recent discussions: How does a member delete - not edit - a post? (Her own, of course.) And I assume only you (admin) can delete a thread? Not the OP? 2. Page Views: Just curious - does the number go up every single time someone opens the thread OR is each member only counted once, no matter how many times she views a thread? (I think the Bucket used the latter method, but it seems maybe this place uses the former?) Thank you! ETA: Should have done this: Hey, admin!

Not sure about entire threads, but to delete your post you just click on the gear to the right of your post and select "Delete Post."
Not sure about page views.

Yep, the gear is where to go to delete. As far as page views, on another pro board I visit, that post count goes up nearly any time anyone even thinks about opening the thread! Seriously...it goes up every time it's opened, even if only by the OP to edit it. Basically you wind up with enormous thread view counts even if only a few people have been going in and out of the thread. I read this thread, wanted to be sure I was right about the gear, so left it. I came back, (and someone had already answered ), so now I had a count of 2 already. Then I came back to edit my post, so now you've received at least 3 counts from me even though I only have one reply.

Like you, I tried to test it once, but it was during the halcyon early days of the new board, and things were moving so fast, I wasn't sure if the counts were from me or someone else!

I've always suspected that for some reason it may count every look and leave and 2 instead of 1 as well. It just seems that even on very small boards the counts are always huge.
I am in the habit of ignoring them, but whenever anyone else brings them up, I always look and then think that the post counts seem too ridiculously high to be correct.

I noticed this trend early on; then my curiosity was re-piqued when I came home today and saw the close-to-16,000 count (!) on the "Hello" thread.

2peas was the same way, everyone pops back into the same drama filled thread every 5 minutes because they see a new post has been added.
