I make GINORMOUS December Daily kits. I have mine in an iris paper holder thing now and I can barely shut it. Ha. I started with a color theme - I'm using pale teal, red, a lighter color green, Kraft, white and gold or silver (haven't decided which yet). First I went through my Christmas collections and pulled themed papers in these colors. Then I pulled coordinating pieces by color and some scraps too. I added Christmas embellishments that coordinate, and lots of snowflake items! I even put dies and punches in the box, because I don't typically use them throughout the year, so I wasn't missing having them put away with the kit. I have my Christmas stash sorted by theme, so this was pretty easy and fun to do! Im excited to dig into it Also by doing this and shopping my stash, I have no desire to purchase a DD kit elsewhere. None. My homemade kit is fun and shopping my stash definitelu cured my desire to shop! Lol Sounds like a fabulous kit! All these December Daily kits are really getting me excited to do one again this year.

The only kits I really make are my Dec daily ones. I find the project comes together much easier if I just pull from a limited set of supplies given I often don't have as much time to scrap during Dec and I like to have mine completed before the new year.
I generally make albums that are 6x8 or smaller and will pull in:
a dozen or so patterned papers including at least one that can be cut apart (either cards or just a design that will work well in smaller parts) in two main colours + neutrals cardstock if I feel the kit needs it two or three small alphas any new Christmas themed supplies I've bought for this year which is usually limited to one or two set of stickers or sheets of paper Christmas themed stamps one roll of washi, ribbon, or twine (sometimes more than one of these) a set of numbers (sometimes I use a digi kit and print these out, sometimes they are a purchased supply) my leftover Christmas supplies (those odd rub ons, stickers, etc that have been left over from previous years. I've used up lots of old one off pieces in these albums over the years small finishing bits like wood veneer, sequins, and enamel dots mist
I usually only focus on Christmas scrapping in Dec so I pack everything else up and leave this kit out on my desk until the project is done.
I do pull together embellishment only kits for my travel albums. For these I go through my stash and pull out all the supplies that are themed to that location (easy for Paris and Disney, not so easy for some of the other places I've been). I also add anything that instantly makes me think of one of the places I've visited, so for Finland I included reindeer, for England I added pieces with crowns, Cuba has gotten some of the brighter multi-coloured die cuts. When I'm working on pages for those destinations I make sure to look through these kits first for embellishing and then go to my stash for whatever else I need.

Thanks to all the December Daily kit talk, I bought quite an eclectic mix of embellishments at a not so LSS yard sale this morning. Do I need more Christmas embellishments? Nope! Tonight I will go through the 12x12 plastic envelope of goodies again and try to pull a color scheme out of it. I have plenty of Christmas paper (and embellishments) to coordinate with whatever colors I pick.
Thank you all for motivating me to pull a December Daily kit together!
