We don't usually mark this day, but my parents are coming for a visit so I feel like we should do something. Kids are 9 and 11. I was trying to think of something they could make for them but am drawing a blank. What do you do, if anything?

My husband and I are joining our 2 and 3 year old granddaughters for their snacktime at their pre-school. They have no idea we are coming this afternoon, they will be so excited!

How about letting them help you to make a cake for the grandparents?? Or some other dessert? Or give them some $ and suggest that the grandparents and the kids go out for ice cream, the kids treat!

Isn't the 11th on Sunday? I take care of my grandson on weekdays but don't expect to see him on Sunday. To me, every week day that I have him is grandparents day!

we're not celebrating - the grandparent my kids were closest to passed just over a month ago (MIL). My mum lives many states away and my GMIL is 99 and senile. The grandfathers are all long gone.
I would have the kids decorate a cake (or big cookie) for them and maybe make a card. You could take photos of kids with grandparents and frame them
