...quirky like this?
When I get new scrappy goodies - esp embellishments - rather than go create new pages, I LOVE going through my albums and adding them to old pages/pockets. Something about getting new stuff and then trying to match them to my old stuff is really fun for me. Esp since my older pages were pretty embellishment-lite. So it's fun to find something new and go "Wow! That goes great on this layout.".
No? Just me?
Carry on...

This is a cute quirk! I can't say I would think to do this but it is quite smart thinking though since I know those early pages are sparse in my albums too!

No. Don't do that but I do immediately shuffle the papers in with my old stash so I am sure to use a mix of old and new on a page.

Can't say I have ever done that either.

I haven't done exactly that, but I did go through some old albums and look for places to add some flair and embellishments. It was getting to the point that I had to use them or lose them, so I found a place to use as much as possible before purging.

I have on occasion bought something knowing it will go on a page I've already completed.

I do that sometimes! I have a bunch of layouts that I made with self-made kits that were mostly pp and light on embellishments. I got some new washi tape and went through the layouts, adding the washi here and there. I was surprised how many layouts i could use the same stuff on, even though the pps I used were so different.

I've added on an older layout before, but not because I was looking to, YKWIM?
I got a scissor diecut in a package and the second I saw it knew it would look good on a "first haircut" layout I had already made a few months before.

I have done that, too. I also tend to go a little light on embellishments.

Oh thank goodness - a few of you validate my weirdness about this. Last night I tore apart a page I always hated about DS first bike ride. Added a bunch of stuff from Shimelle's new travel line about "Go Now Go" - etc. I love the page now. It's weird cuz I don't want all my pages to look alike and I do like that I can see the scrappy progression of my craft - but some pages - man - they gotta "go now go".

Not usually but I added some goodies from a new kit to 2 pages I did last weekend. Got the idea from this thread, so thanks

((raises hand sheepishly)) I've never completely re-done (as in re-assembled or completely made-over) a LO but I have been known to add flair and embellies if I come across something that truly adds to the story of the original LO. When you've been scrapping for nearly 20 years, it's inevitable that something will come along that would be the perfect addition to something I already completed so I add it. So relieved to know I'm not the only one!

Nope, but that might be easier than taking apart the pages I don't like and re-doing them with the new embellies.

Believe me, I have lots of quirks! But I usually consider any page that is in a page protector as FINISHED!!!
I DO often add extras to pages that have not yet been put in albums. And sometimes that means lifting up something that is already glued down??? (And why is glue SOOO efficient in places I want to alter, yet lets go in other places I want to stay put???)
My most recent pages are often still in my mind when I am at the LSS or M's, so if I see something that would be "perfect" on one of those pages, I will snap it up.

I am still 9 years behind, so that hasn't even entered my thought process. I am also very left brained, so for me, close the book… I am done. I have hundreds of layouts that are already made and I just need to put pictures on them. I often add more embellishments before I put them in an album, so I kind of do that. And yes, it is weird, but I think the things that make is weird make us awesome.

No I've never done that. Once a page is in the album that's it

I start every page with the promise that it can always be redone, thrown away, added to or things taken away. Otherwise, not sure how many pages I would ever start.

Guess I am a nut but I just did that very thing!!! A friend gave me a box of her leftover supplies and had a vellum quote books for little boys/girls and since I didn't know what I was doing when I started scraping my grandchildren's layouts are quite bare. So I took some and added to their books. Now they look really good.

I do that too, but I also put pages in my album with only paper and mats, just to hold the spot and give me something pleasant to look at even though they're still incomplete. So I have lots of pages that are looking for just the perfect accent, and I'm pleased as punch to find the right embellishment for them ( sometimes many years later! )

A woman and a scrap philosophy after my own heart :*) Like I said above, I really fight the urge to do complete re-dos, but I love adding something that just seems to "go" w/a layout I did a long time ago that still seems like it needs a little something. But I will admit that I do re-dos if, when doing album flips, I come across a page and it makes me groan and that happens every time I open that album. Off with it's head

Not a common occurrence, but when I got my October Afternoon Warehouse Box (thanks to the enabling of the Peas), I had a new roll of washi tape with whales on it.
Went back to a completed album with whale-watching pics and stuck that stuff all over the place. What else am I going to do with an entire roll of whale washi??
Might go back to some 'kids in the tub' pics from way back to see if I can use it there. . .

I can't say that I purposely go through the layouts to look for embellishment spots, but I have been known to add a new embellishment to a layout that I was recently finished. But I have plenty of other quirks.

I ordered two warehouse boxes and two big packages of that line on a steal website. I am going to need to make full 12 x 12 pages of that tape on white card stock. Or maybe make a ton of die cuts with that tape on it.
