I didn't spot any new threads other than the lochte drama, so let's talk about the show.
I love Laurie Hernandez sooooo much and i hope she wins! She is adorable!
Rick perry has to go. He was awful. I was so embarrassed for his daughter.
I wasn't as impressed by Marilu, i thought the judges gave her too much credit.
Jana was really good, i think she could take it. Same with the race car driver (can't remember his name).
I thought lochte was a lot better than amber rose, but they got the same scores. I felt like she seemed uninterested or like she was just going through the motions. I thought ryan seemed really into it and i thought he and cheryl had good chemistry. He was a little stiff but i thought the judges were harder on him then they needed to be.
What do you all think?

Laurie Hernandez was great. I hope she does well.
Rick Perry- please let him go home 1st. There's always one guy who is painful to watch, he's it this season.
Race car driver impressed me!
Amber Rose- eh. She'll last longer than I think she should because she has a great partner.
I like Ryan Lochte. I think he's the one people will love to hate on this season.

I was actually impressed by a lot of the dancing especially given it was the first show. I think it's going to be a really competitive season. Go Calvin Johnson!

Rick Perry was dreadful. He was at the bottom of the "leader board" so hopefully he will be the first to go. I can't bear to watch him.
I thought Lochte was pretty good. Loved his facial expressions. I may be alone, but I'm pulling for him to redeem himself somewhat through this.
The race guy was also good. And Jana did great as well.

I swore I wasn't going to watch this season, but I did. I'm definitely not a Lochte fan so I will just skip over him (never been a fan and always thought he was snobbish and stuck on himself.. and this is before Rio)
Laurie was freaking adorable!!!! The race car driver was good too... James Hinchcliffe... I love Indy racing so I am hoping he will go far.
What about Maureen McCormick (Marsha Brady).. .I just can't get over that she is 60 years old. I couldn't stop staring at her. She is always that Marsha age to me. I wonder if she gets that a lot in real life..

The judges always seem to have their favorites. I couldn't believe how good most of the dancers were for the first show. I personally, don't think that minors should be on there.

I know Maureen was not that good, but I just find her so appealing and adorable with her partner. Maybe it is her insecurities.
Also, the whole protesting incident reflects how great of a host that Tom Bergeron is. Unflappable, professional, and still able to crack jokes and keep a live show moving. I am not sure he truly gets credit for his ability. He took stock, threw to commercial, and just never faltered.

I didn't get a chance to watch until tonight. My favorites were the race car driver and surprisingly for me, Vanilla Ice. I loved Alison's dark blue dress, she looked great and I am happy to have her back. I agree that overall, the group seemed really good for week one. There are gonna be some tough eliminations. And poor Emma. Another booby prize partner. We switched to a new provider and now have HD channels. This show looks AMAZING in HD. SO sparkly!  |

Jana Kramer was my favorite of the night. She & her partner reminded me of watching Val & Kelly Monaco dance together. Vanilla Ice- LOVED HIM!!! I think I was a senior in high school when Ice Ice Baby came out, I've always been a fan. Whitney is my favorite of the female pros, I'm looking forward to more from them. Cracked me up that she wasn't even alive when that song came out though! Ouch!! Laurie Hernandez is too cute, and she's good. All the gymnasts who've been on the show have been really good. Marilu Henner- I kinda expected her to be better, especially since she's paired with Derek. I was surprised by that pairing honestly. He usually gets paired with one of the best contenders, I'm kinda surprised he isn't with Jana. Maureen McCormick's gushing and carrying on was annoying and over the top to me. Meh. Amber Rose- I was surprised when I first heard she was going to be on the show. I don't care for her, and hope she doesn't act like an ass. I have to hope she sticks around a while though because I'm happy that Maks is back! Terra Jole- I was impressed by her! She worked crazy hard! I'm intrigued to see how Sasha is going to deal with their height difference when they get to dances with a constant hold. I hope they're around for a while. I'm bummed that Mark isn't on this season. When I saw the first promo saying Julianne was back (and Derek & Maks), I was super excited. I thought she was going to dance. She was my all time favorite female pro. I like having her there as a judge too though. She was kinda tough on everyone score-wise, pretty much a point under Carrie-Ann & Bruno on everyone. Be interesting to see if that's how she scores all season. I'm looking forward to this season overall. |
