Great deal, but I will resist. DCWV pads have a funny smell to me and they make too many pages with glitter and enamel ( the shiny stuff?)
But that leaves more for everyone else! Plus I need more paper like I need another hole in the head too!

Plus I need more paper like I need another hole in the head too! Never noticed the smell, but I'm sure I will now that you've pointed it out, lol. I did notice they have a lot of glitter, foil, etc. I tried to avoid those pads and am hoping they didn't sneak any sheets in to the ones I got (glitter & cork?). Keeping my fingers crossed . . . |

"Oh...I am sure there are a few things I want." Well, $86 dollars later.... my order was in! And that was my list skimmed down by 6-7 items. lol |

I hate to say it but I don't know the last time I bought a stack. When I had tons of them I barely used them and ended up giving them to my SIL. I do like looking at them though when I'm there and always talk myself out of it seeing I know I won't use it all.

Does this include their cardstock stacks? I know it's not the greatest but I like the white core 'cause I like to sand it.

huh- I impulse bought two of them a couple days ago, and the price in the store was 50% off, not $7.99... oh, well!
(and I didn't really need either of them at all, of course- but I didn't let that stop me!)
ETA, regarding papers you won't use: I will calculate the 'per piece' price of a stack, excluding the ones I absolutely KNOW I won't use. If they're on sale, the price per piece will sometimes still be a ton cheaper than the 'per piece' price of other brands of SB paper. And I'll use the 'unusable' patterns as scrap, test paper for my Cameo, or use the back side as a white base. (that's how I justify buying them in MY head, anyway- lol.)
ETA 2: $10 / 48 sheets = 21 cents per sheet. If there's 8 sheets that I won't use, then the price would be $10 / 40 sheets = 25 cents per sheet.

So...two packs came home with me today (White Ginger and Homeroom) crimsoncat05 - I was making the same calculations today- 7.99 for 48 sheets is about 6 sheets for $1...pretty sure I'll use more than 7.99 worth of paper from each pack |

I'm heading out soon to run a bunch of errands, all of which are the opposite direction. However, it's not THAT far in the other direction, so I may find my way there later today. On the other hand, I don't need even one more sheet of patterned paper. If the cardstock stacks are on sale, then it would be worth the trip.
I just talked myself into heading that way first.

~Zoey~ - I wasn't planning to stop on Friday myself - I had an appointment in the city but 2 exits closer than the JoAnns exit. But somehow I managed to talk myself (and DH who was driving) into stopping at JoAnns anyway

good news is that I've already broken into both stacks I bought Friday - used 2 sheets from Homeroom and 1 from White Ginger.
bad news is that still leaves me 93 sheets to add to my stash....

I have to say, I stood strong! I had bought two a few days ago for $9.99 (right before that sale went into effect, apparently)... the Chalk Art stack, and the Honey Chic stack. (as you can tell, my Joann's doesn't really get the latest and greatest, lol!). I knew I wouldn't use hardly any of the Chalk Art stack so I returned it, and resisted buying two other ones while I was in the store!! They're so seductive, with their color-coordinated patterns, but I already have so many of them that I can't possibly use all I have.
(so I bought some WRMK 6x12 sheets of adhesive washi-tape / paper from the clearance shelf instead, lol!! I'm going to try using it with my punches and maybe my Cameo... hopefully it won't be a total bust.)
