Looks boring and very light. Just doesn't do a thing for me. Honestly, I could find things in my stash for the same effect.

Shockingly light and bland. Hate the fonts.

I agree - it is a light kit. No chipboard I absolutely hate the 'todays highs/lows font. Really? Ali picked that font for the three cards (high lows/graitude/meal card? No way. It almost seems like those three cards were left out of another kit and they just included them because they had them already.

I think she's been using that font more. I recall it from a few story kits. It's not great. While the kit is light, it's only $10. I won't be ordering it, but honestly, it doesn't feel that much less full than a story kit. Replace the stamp with a chipboard and a few other pieces and it feels the same.

Meh : - it's not very original. I mean, kind of not at all. I seriously wonder what people do with all these super similar stamp sets? That's an expensive item if you're not going to go back to it several times because you got another that has a slightly different version of "right now" and all the everyday stuff, including numbers. - dem fonts and her handwriting, it just clashes and hurts my eyes all put together. - frustrating to see Ali go round in little circles in that puddle... I feel like I know she has it in her to be a bit more original and reinvent her go-to projects in a way that keeps things fresh, vibrant and make an attractive product with every new edition but it's just not happening. - could we perhaps have some different languages or anything else than "hello" all the time. It's starting to feel a bit like I'm trying to take care of my friend's confident almost 3-year old who feels the need to greet everyone and everything whenever he goes outside. It's cute for five minutes but after that, you start going a little cuckoo in the head. "Hello stone! Hello red! Red what? Who knows? Red something. Red as a concept perhaps. Hello dog! Hello road! Hello car! Hello bus! Hello sidewalk! Hello door! Hello door! Hello door! Hello window! Hello door! Hello mailman! Hello door! Hello corner!" - why two 3x4 DITL filler cards? Surely one ought to be enough. Or is this supposed to be enough for two DITL projects? It's confusing me which is never a good idea to get me to buy something. Oh yeah : - the colour scheme of greys and powdery colours is surprisingly nice - the calligraphic playfulness with her handwriting on the "no day like today" card - can SC just get to their next $1 sale already and put up the bags with the circle die-cuts pleasethankyouverymuch?

I feel like Ali has the potential to offer something deeper than just hello. But I guess she has to try and make something to appeal to everyone at the same time. I dont know, but I feel like she is dumbing her brand down with all the generic hello crap.

I actually don't mind the font with the closed holes, for lack of a better term. I like to add stars or hearts or whatever to embellish them up a bit. The colors aren't too bad, I prefer brighter, but not bad for neutralish people. A good stamp set will get me every time, but it's just not my cup of tea this time. /shrug I haven't been super into any of the DITL kits this year and use the stamps from previous WITL and DITL that I did purchase if I want. As was mentioned, stamps aren't cheap and having 500 that say the same thing isn't something I want.

I used to be super into online RPG so "hail" would actually be quite hilarious for me.

I agree, she's used that font before and itvsucked then too. And find a new word to replace hello. But since is the third ditl this year and we can assumes she's doing one each season, a light $10 kit seems reasonable. You'd probably make a mini book with it and $10 isn't terrible. But I'm still not buying it

Howdy? Hi? Sup? Yo? Greetings? Hail? Exactly. It's so easy. Why not just do some basic variation? I haven't got the foggiest why Ali (who is by all accounts a smart and talented storyteller and designer) doesn't reach for even the easiest go-to changes? And if she has an international audience that is big enough to want to cater a bit to even just through little winks (I very much appreciated the inclusion of "moi" in this month's Story kit + stamp), she could literally just go for a handful of hello translations instead: "Nĭ hăo breakfast" "Hola work" "Ciao coffee" "Bonjour lunch" and reserve hello for the big "Hello today" card. Something so simple could actually make quite the difference in sales. No comprendo.

I think she set the bar so high with the first kit. That roller stamp is so useable. I'd like more stuff like that in the kits.

craftgirl - no need to hide - I've been such a big AE fan that it used to just be reflex for me to order every kit she could dream up, but I really have too many of the same items. I feel like I need to get the space I use to store things down-sized and I really don't want repeats of things I already have - especially stamps. I'm sure it's hard to think outside of what is one's aesthetic when you are a designer, but just a bit more variety is all I need.

IF I participate in October, I will do it with my stash. The kit is ok but there's nothing I really need there.

I can't get enough decent photos of myself to do a DITL album. Plus I have the last two ones I haven't used yet, naughty me. Darlene

Oh, I posted in the SC thread about this cause I hadn't seen this topic... but I bought it because I actually really like it... *hides again in shame* I may hide with you soon. LOL Took a closer look and I like the number stamps, the "no day like today", DITL card with the days at the bottom and the multicoloured, multi-phrased card. Not sure if all this is worth $10 even though shipping is only $4. Personally, I hate the closed centre font and wish they showed us the reverse side of the cards.

I like the colours. But I won't be buying it: as some have said already, if I decide to do a DITL I have lots of stash to work with. "Hello" is a bit overdone on this. "Hello Work" But maybe her past kits have stamps that subtitle different parts of the day in different ways.

For $12.xx including shipping, I thought it was worth it for the stamp. I also like the colors of the foiled die cut circles. I don't have many Ali stamps, so it works out for me. I think the numbers will be super useful in the future.
I know some folks aren't that jazzed about the DITL repetition, but to be honest, a lot of people on the AE facebook groups were asking for another round, so Ali was responding to customer demand.

I wish the numbers would have gone up to 12 instead of just 10, so at least we could use them for time/hours. I'm not big on number stamps or embellishments though, except for DD/JYC.

I actually love the blocky font. Maybe because I have all boys and this font feels more masculine less feminine. So much of Ali's stuff has a more feminine feel because she features her handwriting so prominently throughout. Bought the kit and I always forget to complete DITL. Haha. Maybe third time is the charm.

It's ok--I just feel like I have maxed out on similar products. I'd probably jump for a kit with lots of embellishments, though--get me some rubber banners, stat.

They should've left out the 10 (we can flip the 01) and added 11 & 12 to the set. There's quite a bit of space in and around the word circles.
