There are TONS of things marked 65% off at Joann's right now. My closest one is picked over because they marked it down last week (or so I was told when I went to the further away one again...I didn't buy enough there last night, apparently). I got 2 sets of extended cutting plates for $6.97 each and one set of the narrow long ones for the long alpha dies for $3.97. Those were a no brainer to me. Most of the thick sizzix dies were $4.97 but there were a ton of steel rule dies from $4.97 up to about $9.97 (including a folding style card die). There were also embossing folders for less, but I didn't get any. The TH dies were all $6.97 and up, including some that had folders to emboss included. I bought several sets that I've been eying for a while, mostly the old fashioned thick dies, but a couple steel rule and a long alpha. They also had the Vagabond marked from $249.99 to $89.97. So tempting since it's electric...but I held back...it was tough, but I did it...for now. I will try to add pictures, but photobucket isn't cooperating right now.

Now I have to go check out Joann's too on Thursday. I just saw the dollar tree had halloween flair. Thanks for the heads up.

I would totally buy some of these. Sadly, our Joanne's looks like the kind of shop you might find in Tijuana. They have nothing like this section, just some pitiful mostly empty hangars. I might have to venture out to find a bigger store.

Ugh!!!!!! The closest one to me is almost 40 minutes away and I had an appointment in the area today. Literally, just down the street. Maybe I'll try Saturday. Fortunately, scrapbooking isn't popular in my area. And am I the only pea who gets giddy when they see red clearance stickers?

Fortunately, scrapbooking isn't popular in my area. And am I the only pea who gets giddy when they see red clearance stickers? No you're not, but I usually see empty shelves or one or two options that I would have literally no use for. I've managed to catch a few good markdowns just as they were happening (yesterday was when they were marked down at this store...so I went hours after the markdown happened) in the past couple of months, but I'm usually not this lucky. Of course it would happen when I've blown through my budget and then some. It's one of those things. I want to shop but there is NOTHING I want anywhere I look and then wham! there is suddenly too many good deals to pass up and I end up shopping way too much. What's funny is that Tuesday Morning got a ton of dies in today and they are all $7.99 from Sizzix, not the same ones, but the Sizzix ones were almost all $4.97 at Joann's. I went to TM after my second stop at J's and it just verified that I was making good purchasing decisions.
