I just had one this year and i'm type 2 diabetic. I drank a ton of gatorade NOT SUGAR FREE. You'll need the carbs since you're not eating. Only clear liquids the day before. I did orange, yellow and the frost (white) gatorade and jello same colors not sugar free. I didn't have any problems with low blood sugar.

I just had my first colonoscopy last Tuesday. I had to begin a liquid diet on Sunday after lunch. My procedure didn't end up being until about 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. When my husband had his at a different facility, he also had to have liquids only starting 2 days before.
I could not have anything red, he could not have anything orange or red so I just stayed away from both colors. I had pineapple jello but wish I'd just skipped it and drank more juice instead. Plain jello is just the illusion of food. I honestly wasn't that hungry until about 2 hours before the procedure. I had to drink Suprep for my preparation and it was a lot of liquid at once so I definitely wasn't hungry Monday night and early Tuesday when I drank the last of the Suprep. It worked well but was expensive. It isn't on Blue Cross' formulary so I got hit for $80 out pocket.
The procedure went very smoothly. I'd never been put to sleep, never even had an IV but I got along well. When they tell you that you won't know a thing, they are right. One minute the anesthesiologist is injecting this stuff into your IV and the next minute you are waking up and it is over.
The only issues I had were stomach pain for about 2 hours after the procedure and soreness. Tucks pads can be used for soreness. It cleared by the day after the procedure.
Good luck, I hope it goes well for you.

Yogurt of any kind is not a liquid. Yes, the yellow jello is okay. I'm not sure about the orange. The red jellos aren't okay. I'm surprised to see people having to do two days of liquids; I have only ever had to do one. You may want to hold off on the Dulcolax until you see how well the Miralax is working (I mixed mine with limeade and yellow Gatorade). For me, just the Miralax cleaned me out completely. The previous time, when I took the Dulcolax, I ended up with terrible nausea, cramps, felt faint. So this time (I had one a month or two ago) I decided to wait, and I'm glad I did, because I didn't use the Dulcolax at all. As soon as your daughter is pooping nothing but clear liquid, she's good to go (sorry, pun not intended). One or two very small bits of mucous or stool is okay, but basically she wants to get to the point where it sounds like she's peeing but it's coming from the back end. She probably will be fine for the trip. I was so worried and scared (I also have quite a trip to get to the hospital), but I needn't have been concerned. In fact, the prep this last time was so easy I wondered why I'd been scared of doing it for so long. And then the anesthesia had me out for the whole procedure. Don't remember a thing. Read this article. This doctor has studied the prep, and says the Dulcolax isn't necessary. He also talks about how the Miralax and Gatorade prep is better for diabetics. PrepReally, done this way, the prep isn't bad at all. And the procedure itself is painless. And my colon was squeaky clean. Both times.
