I just found out he passed away today. He was DH's childhood hero. One of the classiest men ever to swing a golf club.

He was one class act for sure. Many people could learn a few lessons from him, and not just about golf. RIP

I just said that it was so nice to see all of the positive comments about him. In today's time everything is so negative......he was well loved and will be missed.
My sister lives close to him. There is a local airport out their way and she just said that it had a lot of private jets coming in and out this week. im sure there will be even more now.

Sad to hear this news. I recently saw a news special about him and how he has transitioned in his retirement to planning/creating/consulting on the creation of new golf courses-- it was fascinating the specific details he added to the process from his experience as a pro golfer. Seemed like he was enjoying this phase of his life.

Just found out DH's stepmom passed away last night. She had suffered a stroke last week and they didn't expect her to recover. DH's stepsister said she rode the bus to Heaven with Arnold Palmer.

I've always thought Arnold Palmer was a great guy. I'm going to miss his smile and his lighthearted way.
