Do you take them all at once or spread them out?

I think I would ask the doctor or pharmacist.
ETA: I am assuming you mean three different meds.

Depends on what it is. If it's an antibiotic then it needs to be spaced out.
What is it?

The directions on the prescription bottle should specify. Take three pills once each day. Or take three pills each day (abbreviated as t.i.d.)

It should be specified on the prescription.

If it says 3 daily I would take them all at once. If it says 3 times daily, I would spread them out. But I agree, safest to ask the pharmacist!

I can't imagine that dosage directions aren't on the bottle?

Oh, if it's different meds, I'd take them at the same time unless there are specific interactions you should avoid - and which the pharmacist should have told you about.

Doctor is out of town. I was thinking in general. I've always seen it as one pill three times daily, so I figured that if it just said three daily that I should take them all at once.
the drug is methimazolre or Topazole. Doctor upped my dose from 3 pills a day to 3.5 and I have been tired since. I wondered if I spread it out if it would be better

I agree the instructions should be on the bottle.

ETA RX list also says 3 doses at 8 hourly intervals.

The bottle says "take three tablets by mouth daily" Is that on the label that the pharmacist put on the bottle? Those are vague instructions. I would call tomorrow am and talk to the pharmacist and ask his/her advice on the recommended dosing schedule of the medication.

When I took Topazole, it was spread out every 8 hours, not all at once! It needs to consistently block your thyroid overproduction 24 hours a day. If you take it all at once, it will be overkill for a number of hours (causing you to feel tired) and then not do its work for the other 12-16 hours (maybe resulting in an inaccurate blood test for thyroid and TSH levels).
Contact your doctor tomorrow and let him know that you've been taking it all at once, not spread out, and are feeling tired. He will probably have you spread it out and after a few weeks come back for another blood test if you are still feeling tired.
Eta: Topazole and Propranolol both made me very tired and loopy, that is why I had my thyroid destroyed.

Methimazole 10 mg 3 and a half tablets daily now. Previously 3. I've been taking them all in the morning for 2.5 months now. I had been on beta blockers and those said two tablets twice daily, so I assumed since this didnt specify that it meant all at once

When you have questions about your meds, you really should check with your doctor rather than guess or assume, you know? Better to be safe than risk side effects or some kind of damage.

I think you should contact your pharmacist with this question.
I would assume that the goal is to keep a constant level of the medication in your bloodstream. In order to do so, you would need to take one pill every 8 hours. That's my guess.
OK. Now that you've asked the peas, when you find out from your doctor or pharmacist you need to come back and let us know the answer.
