I emailed her about doing a 12" one and she said she could do it in that size for $80. Wowsers! I guess it's more than twice as big as the $40 one, but still. If I could think of enough ways to use it, I could probably justify buying the bigger one at that price. Hmmm, maybe to stamp on printed calendar paper? I have had several people ask me for calendar kits lately...

That is intriguing. I had trouble finding any other videos, but did see on on the blog that used ink. If they made it to handle 12x12 papers, I would buy it in a heartbeat. I like to stamp borders across my papers, but sometimes it can be hard to line up the stamp correctly. I contacted the seller a few days ago about this and she's making me a 12x12 board for $80. She said she'll make it after she gets back from vacation (10 September). I'll post a review after I've tried it. The standard size is getting rave reviews on SCS (T&P board).

I think $80 is a bit more than I want to pay. Oh, well, thank you for letting us know.

Got my MISTI yesterday and had a chance to take it for a test run today... it really is a great tool, best part about it is the ability to re-stamp in the exact spot if you didn't get good ink coverage.

I've been using the MISTI for over a week, and I absolutely love it! I made 40 thank you cards and 30 Christmas cards. It's not that it's faster, but you can line up sentiments so easily, and you can restamp in exactly in the same spot.
I found that if my cardstock is larger than I need, I have a place in the upper right corner to grab the cardstock and not have to worry about smudging. It's messy if you use SU ink. It's also great for two-step stamping.
I'm glad I bought it.

I am definitely going to check it out. I really enjoy stamping. I use my stamp-a ma-jig ALL THE TIME. One of my go to tools. Me too! How is this thing different? ETA: This is like stamp-a-ma-jig with a hinge only a lot more trouble and money.

I watched last night as she went from 22 in stock down to 0 in a matter of an hour or so. I was really, really on the fence about ordering one. I even had the thing in my cart for a little bit. I just was having a hard time coming to terms with the $63 price tag. (That's with shipping and tax) In the end I just decided that it was too expensive for me at the moment. Maybe it's something I can put on my Christmas list for family though

This looks awesome but I will NOT pay $50 for it...I just can't bring myself to do it, no matter how cool the tool is!

I couldn't justify the price on this either.

I bought one. I haven't tried it yet-I just got it last week. I have plenty of expensive crafting toys and I love them all. If a tool works well it's worth the money to me. I looked at videos from Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner and thought it looked like a good investment (noting that I love tools-I also have the stamp a ma jig as well as the now-extinct Mostly Animals stamp o graph and judging by the videos, the Misti is better than either one) youtu.be/R6i8WwV30_wwww.kwernerdesign.com/blog/?p=11894

I bought mine in September (maybe August). I think the price then was $40 plus S&H, it came out to a little more than $50 (with the grid paper pad and magnets). I love, love, love it. I justified the price due to:
1. I needed a large block. Back then, I didn't have a block large enough for a background stamp. 2. Due to the ease of re-stamping in the same spot, I really could get away with buying only mini-ink pads.

I'm late on the MISTI bandwagon. Just saw Jennifer McGuire use it recently in a video. Initially I didn't think I wanted one for the same reasons already mentioned, but the more I see it, the more I want one! Looks like they are a "hot" item ... apparently they won't be ready to ship for 6 to 8 weeks.

I have this and love it! I used it on my Christmas cards and envelopes. I send out 60 cards and this tool made the process so quick and easy.

I like mine (have used it a couple of times) but someone had one break for no apparent reason and she refuses to replace it. It was purchased in September. So then I joined a MISTI group on facebook and several there have been having problems with cracks in theirs too. She is offering a warranty now but only on units sold on or after Feb 23rd, which means mine is not under any type of warranty.

I bought everything at Tap Plastics. They have stores up and down the left coast. I'm sure there are places around the country that deal in plastics. Just Google "plastic store". The $6 does not include the adhesive or the applicator, both can be used over and over.
