Blue ribbon and Best in Show! There were some quilts and other yarn works that were much more deserving of the Best in Show ribbon. Honestly. I felt honored and humbled at the same time. Alas, with baby due in less than a month, I doubt I'll have time for a new entry of this magnitude next year so I'm going to cherish it for a few days.

That is beautiful! I have just gotten back into cross-stitching and have discovered even weave fabric, which makes me want to redo every project I'v ever done!

Congratulations. I haven't cross stitched in years and would love to give it a whirl again but I don't think my eyes would cooperate!

That is gorgeous. You should be bragging.
I have never cross stitched a day in my life but my MIL was a prolific cross stitcher who always tried to convince me to try it. Unfortunately she had passed away before I found my "crafty" side.

Congratulations! You deserve to brag on yourself a little.
I cross-stitched a lot back in the day. My mom did, too. And it's funny, we just had a discussion the other day about holding on to all our cross-stitch supplies. So many other crafts & hobbies have come and gone for me. But my cross-stitch stuff -- and my scrapbooking stuff -- are just nothing I'm ready to part with yet. At least the cross-stitch stuff takes up very little room. I have lost a whole second closet in a bedroom to scrapbook supplies that I use infrequently any more.

What beautiful work. I used to cross stitch so I know the amount of work that went into that. Congrats on the ribbons.

Beautiful! Congratulations on your awards. I used to cross stitch, in fact, I still have a piece I pull out every couple of years to work on. It's been in progress for about 18 years. I do a row or two and put it away again. Maybe it's time to pull it out for another go round!
