That is beautiful! I have just gotten back into cross-stitching and have discovered even weave fabric, which makes me want to redo every project I'v ever done! Okay what is even weave fabric??

Here is a good explanation of even weave vs. Aida. fancycraft.blogspot.com/2008/07/1-selecting-fabric-aida-vs.html
Aida is the typical fabric that beginner cross stitchers use. (It's what typically comes in kits like you would buy at a craft store or big box store) The holes are smaller and the finished project doesn't look as pixelated using even weave fabric. And it isn't as stiff as Aida. The whole look just appears more soft at the end in my opinion.

Thank you all so much for your kind words. I estimate 250 to 300 hours of stitching in this one. The white part of the stars not including the blue took 45 minutes per star. It was one tedious project, for sure. I was drawn to the pattern though because it had all 50 stars and all 13 stripes.

Awesome! I have cross-stitched in years - I'm assuming this is your own design? If so, you should try to sell the pattern.

Wow it is stunning! Congrats on the win! I just purchased this chart and supplies about 3 weeks ago. I hope to start it soon. I will most definitely NOT be stitching it on 28 ct fabric over 1, though!!! That in itself is amazing.

Not my design. The chart is from a company called ByGone Stitches.

I'm not sure what I was thinking with 28 count over 1. I regretted it almost immediately. Everything I've ever done has been 28 count over 2 so it was REALLY tiny to me and I feel like my XXXXs on my new project are HUGE!

Oh okay.. I know what it is. I am totally an Aida gal. For some reason using the linen is so hard for me...
