I love clear stamps -I love clear blocks - but I keep getting ink edges on my images from the block. What am I doing wrong?

More than likely, you're rocking the block a bit, both when you ink up the stamp and when you stamp with it. Clear stamps don't have much cushion, so the actual image sits much closer to the block; it's easy to pick up stray ink and lay it down.
I usually check my block after inking up and wipe off any excess that I see; I've also become very careful about making sure that I don't rock the block at all when stamping.

Also you shouldn't have to press down hard ... you are not going to emboss with a stamp. When you stamp, press lightly, and count to 10 before you lift. The ink will release from the stamp faster than the paper can adsorb the ink.

Good advice so far! In addition, when inking up your stamp, lay the stamp face-up on your table, and tap the inkpad onto it. That should minimize the amount of ink that gets on the block. If any ink does get on the block, you can dab it away with a dry paper towel or tissue.

Another tip I learned (probably from here ): Make sure you choose an appropriately sized acrylic block. From the Paper Wishes Website: "An acrylic block that’s slightly larger than your stamp is perfect. If the stamp is too big for the mount, you won’t get a good impression. And if the mount is much bigger than the stamp, it’s hard to ink without also inking your acrylic mount, which can lead to stray ink marks. Be sure to clean your mounts as well as your stamps."

I have same issue especially when the ink pad is super wet. I usually have a baby wipe handy to wipe off ink before stamping on paper.
