Speaking of House of Cards, I always like being able to say that the bulk of their filming is done in my county. I love watching just to see shots of things I am very familiar with having lived here all my life. Just a couple of weeks ago, they shut down "main street" of our little county seat town to film from 7pm to 2am. I thought about going down to see if I could get a glimpse but decided against it.

Speaking of House of Cards, I always like being able to say that the bulk of their filming is done in my county. Around the 4th of July I found my husband a t-shirt at Target that said Underwood 2016 with a flag. It is awesome!

100% sure that house of cards was written based on the Clintons. Only Frank is Hillary and Claire is Bill. I'm not the only person to say this.

That's one of my favorite things about House of Cards too. They shot the end of an episode (I think it was number 11 of the last season) at the library where I worked. It was fun to be there when it was all set up, although I wasn't there when they filmed. They also shot in my daughters' middle school cafeteria.
They do periodically do open cattle calls for extras. The line for that stretches several blocks whenever they do it.
