I'll have to go find this speech. But whenever I get too overwhelmed with all the awfulness of this campaign I go to youtube and watch her convention speech, and also President Obama's. Then I feel better.  |

Our power just went out for a few minutes and my cable box is just rebooting so I missed a few minutes. As it turned back on, the first thing I heard Michelle say, once again, was "When they go low, we go high!"
She is speaking at a maggie Hanson (Hasson?) event in Manchester, NH.

She is so classy, smart and warm. Such a breath of fresh air after all the sleaze. I so wish Barack could turn the reins over to her in January. I like her well enough that I definitely wouldn't wish that on her though.

I was listening to it on CNN; they carried it live and have replayed some of it.
She is a fantastic speaker and I have a great deal of respect for her.
Then, they covered Trump speaking in Florida and I was disgusted by his vicious attacks on Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, as well as the media and the women who have now spoken up. It was also very disturbing to hear the crowd respond to him; with chants about locking up HRC and him egging them on. I can't help but wonder who these people are, the ones who can listen to the biggest liar we've ever had as a candidate call other people liars and crooks and cheer for him?

I have had to remove some people from my Facebook feed because I was getting so frustrated with them posting offensive things DT has done and said then saying how great he is . Trying to have any debate with them just resulted in name calling and being told you are 'raining on their parade .'
I love the Obamas and will very much miss seeing them but especially Michelle - what a role model!

WOW!! I have to confess, I have not listened to Michelle Obama speak  [at length] on anything in recent memory (just sound bites here and there, I guess...). She is a FABULOUS public speaker, and her speech was SPOT-ON about basic human decency, being an example for girls AND boys of what is acceptable behavior, etc. |
