I haven't clicked your link but i just read the letter the Times wrote to Trumps attorney. Great reply. I doubt Trump truly wants to air it all out in court during a libel suit.

That's better than when Oprah defended herself against the beef industry.
Nice smack down Mr. McCraw

Funny thing, if Trump weren't running for President he would most likely be in a locker room somewhere, bragging about these same incidents. Go figure. Scumbag. Great response NYT.

It is perfection distilled into letter form. Never has someone quite so literately expressed, "come at me, bro."

SaveSaveSaveSaveTrevor Noah had a good piece on that, where he pointed out that if you are saying those sorts of things everywhere, it's not the locker room, it's you. As depressing as this whole last week has been, one thing that has been heartening is the extent to which both men and women have said, this is just not acceptable.

I love the NYT's response...and I would like to see Trump try and sue them. Can't imagine the suit would get far.

Trump loves the media. If he really hated them, he would not give them the gift of his idiotic comments on a daily basis. The big winner in this election has been the media. When have we ever had an election where less than a month out, there is a new story about each candidate every single day?!

I feel like I'm seeing even more support for Trump now than I had before. I've had a few people on Facebook who were in the "I don't like either of them" camp who seem to be disgusted with Trump but there have been others that I haven't seen anything political from at all who now are posting articles such as "why I'm voting for Trump". Then of course there are the ones who sound like they have memorized The talking points and wording that we hear from the surrogates.

You had to know the NYT expected this and didn't publish the article until they had all their ducks in a row. Good for them!
Do you think that some of these women like Temple Taggart McDowell (yes that's a name) and Arianne Zucker and enjoying their 5 minutes of fame and hoping this in-ignites their careers?

And...IF that IS locker room talk with his group, if I were those who participated in it, I'd be worrying that Trump was going to drag me down with him!!

He says he has evidence that proves he's innocent of all these women's charges. (1) really? REALLY?? Evidence to prove a negative? Can't wait to see it. (2) that evidence is probably hidden away in the same lockbox with all the "amazing" evidence about Obama being born in Kenya that he claimed his investigators were digging up in Hawaii. That evidence he never produced and refuses to talk about anymore. Yep, that's where it is.

I thought it was great too! I saw one of the reporters on tv today. The reporter said each incident was confirmed by someone other than the person that was groped. Jeffrey Toobin said he doesn't like to say something definitely will or will not happen in a court case, but said Trump would 100% lose in the libel suit he has threatened.

Thanks for sharing. These two lines sum it up perfectly for me:
The essence of a libel claim, of course, is the protection of one's reputation.
and
Nothing in our article has had the slightest effect on the reputation that Mr. Trump, through his own words and actions, has already created for himself.
The only "evidence" I've seen Trump present to refute these claims are "how come no one witnessed it" and "have you seen her" (with the implication she isn't pretty enough to sexually assault).

I actually saw someone defending the statements today as not credible because the NYT waited a full 72 hours before coming out with the story and that if it was credible they wouldn't have waited on a juicy story that long. I guess having their ducks in a row didn't occur to him.

I heard someone say that he was going to show proof they were being paid by the Clinton campaign (indirectly of course).
