New laptop, Windows 10. I can design my cut file but it won't recognise that the Silhouette is plugged in. I've tried uninstalling, re-installing, and running in compatibility mode. Nothing works. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Hmm. I am certainly no expert and I have no answers to help. I have the Cameo 3 and Windows 10 and I haven't had any issues like this. Maybe anniefb will be able to help!?

Thanks Annie. I tried that, and I've tried different ports, and it's still not recognising it. Compatibility mode doesn't make any difference. I will keep trying but obviously it's really annoying! I'll probably email Silhouette as well but from reading other posts online they just tell people to revert to an earlier version of Windows, which firstly I don't have, and secondly wouldn't happen anyway because who uses an operating system just for one programme?! i do have an older laptop that I can run it from but that is painfully slow and won't last forever. If I get a proper fix I will update you

Very annoying craftykitten. What version of the Silhouette software are you running? If it's not the latest, might be worth trying that as well.
