I see many of you use these spices especially with the Instant pot.
I know I want to buy the Bavarian spice for pork, but what are the other "must haves"/?

Cindy? What do you use the Hungarian paprika for? I see the mural of flavor. How much do you usually use and do you use it alone or in conjunction with other spices?

Mural of Flavor - I add this to eggs, soups, stews. If you make chili - their Chili blends are awesome. I have 3000 and 9000 I love their toasted granulated garlic and also onion - I use both to do things like seasoning my eggs before pouring them in the pan for making omelettes or scrambled. Beef Roast - since you cook briskets and roasts, this stuff is the best. I go through an embarrassing amount. Their Chicken Taco seasoning is great for making pulled chicken for burrito bowls or tacos. If you like curry, their Now Curry is wonderful.

Chili 3000 chili powder is one of my faves on chili, tacos, steaks I use it everywhere.
We have several of their currys and like those as well.
DS loves the mignonette pepper for steaks
If you bake buy their cinnamon is much better than grocery store cinnamon it almost has that spicy bite of cinnamon drops.

I don't really measure. I just estimate, when I am doing rubs, meats, soups, etc. I usually use it in connection with salt/pepper. Or like in a rub, I have used a whole bunch. Mural of flavor I tend to use more alone, with more salt and pepper. WHY is Penzy's so much better? It's fresh. You can smell it, and see the quality of it when you open the bottle. Every order I get they always send a free sample of something.

Fox Point is one of my go-tos. I buy it in the 2 cup jars and it's expensive but soooo worth it. Mural of Flavor is a good one. I also buy their soup bases. Other blends I buy are curry powder and poultry seasoning. Minced onions, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, dried shallots, whole nutmeg, ceylon cinnamon. Mostly I just buy single spices/herbs.

Korintje cinnamon, so strong and delicious. Italian Herb blend, Cumin, Cinnamon Sugar, Nutmeg, Minced Garlic, Taco Seasoning (we like half Original, half Bold) Black Pepper, the list goes on and on. The freshness and flavor of these spices is amazing. If you have only had grocery store cinnamon or black pepper and you try Penzey's, it is a real eye opener.

Their bay leaves are great. Whole, huge and they smell soooo good. They have a couple chop and steak seasonings -- Mitchell Street, Chicago and Galena -- that are delicious. Their Penzey's pepper ground pepper is good, too. It's much fresher and more flavorful than the tins at the grocery store. I received a free jar of the Pie Spice with one of my last orders. It's really, really good. Their glass storage jars are heavy and good quality. I bought some for the bay leaves and the Brady Street Cheese Sprinkle. ODS loves the Pasta Sprinkle. The Brady Street Cheese sprinkle is YDS's favorite. The air-dried shallots are another things I love to have on hand.

Everything in my spice cabinet comes from Penzey (I have one local). Some of our favorites are:
Sunny Paris Lemon Pepper Tuscan Sunset Greek Seasoning (good for salad dressing or just to season food)

I love the Chipotle pepper. It is smoky and adds a nice zip to so many things I make. I also love the freeze dried and air dried shallots alot. The lemon pepper from Penzey's just seems much fresher.

Like GypsyGirl, everything from my spice cabinet comes from Penzey's. The quality and freshness are such a revelation after grocery store spices. Yes, they are *that much better.*
Our favorites: Arizona Dreaming on EVERYTHING Northwoods and Northwoods Fire(spicy) on anything grilled Galena Street on steaks Fajita Seasoning is to die for on chicken Bavarian Seasoning on pork roasts Fox Point Seasoning on veggies or as a compound butter
Their cinnamon and vanilla are simply extraordinary. Can't bake without them.

If you bake their cocoa powder is the best. If you drink hot cocoa, their mix is divine and no artificial crap. I agree their now curry is amazing. I don't normally like cinnamon, but I love theirs. Their black is great on, really nice and peppery.
The only thing I don't like is their poultry seasoning because it has dill, and I hate dill. Everything else is great!

Mostly I just buy single spices/herbs. One of my friends told me that Fox Point and Sunny Paris are identical except for salt, so i ordered the Sunny P without salt. There is quite a bit more that is different besides the salt. Sunny Paris: shallots, chives, green peppercorn, dill weed, basil, tarragon, chervil and bay leaf. Fox Point: salt, freeze-dried shallots, chives, garlic, onion and green peppercorns. You can't go wrong with any of their items for baking. I always have these in my cabinet: Vietnamese Cinnamon - I also make my own cinnamon sugar using this. The jar of cinnamon sugar Penzey sells uses the China and Ceylon cinnamon, and the taste of the Vietnamese is superior to me. By making my own, I can also add a little more cinnamon to the ratio. Madagascar Vanilla - only double strength! If you want a lighter flavor (which never happens in my kitchen!) then you just use half the amount Dutch Process Cocoa - it's a higher fat content. Gives the richest, deepest colored (and flavored) chocolate baked goods I've ever had! So much better than Ghirardelli or Hershey's Dark. Save

I love the horseradish dip. You can mix it with sour cream for a dip, but we use more of it to coat roast beef before cooking, we add it to a flour mixture for chicken, or put it in ajus for more flavor. I'm always finding something new to add it to!

I've only ordered once, and I am not disappointed.
I really like the freeze dried shallots, garlic, Greek seasoning (it is great on roasted vegetables), Vietnamese cinnamon, Mexican oregano (also great on veggies) and the pasta sprinkle (I use it on roasted veggies!).
Watching this thread to see what else I may need. I have so many spices and so little room!

We enjoy the Northwoods seasoning on veggies. It has a little heat. Then they also have a bold version with more spice.
We also like their Chicago Steak seasoning.
