It's about time I get the ball rolling on my album prep and the prompts that I may want to highlight throughout the month. My goal is to have a photo taken about the subject matter on the appropriate day (I'm picky like that) so the prompts will be necessary to keep me thinking about what I can record on a particular day. That's where you all come in!! I am a very 'big picture' person and often miss the little details. I can see them in reflection a bit easier than I can in the moment and I can't rewind to take a picture (and I don't want to force it on another day...I want this project to be authentic). I also tend to get overwhelmed with a blank canvas, so the more focused on a specific number of things, the more likely I am to not feel overwhelmed by indecision/too much choice. To me, too much choice is just as bad as no choice at all...I need help to focus. For instance, "tell me about yourself" would probably result in me looking like a deer in headlights, but a questionnaire asking about specific details I can do. This is probably why I do well with PL and use sketches for almost all 12x12 pages I do.
What are some things that you would document if you were making this album? Who knows, your suggestion(s) might not work for me exactly, but they might spark an idea of something I wouldn't think of on my own. Any help is appreciated. Someone in a group just suggested the 5 senses and immediately got an item on my list (the smell of cinnamon is very nostalgic for me and brings me back to childhood whenever I walk past it in a store).

The 4 freedoms, especially this year being a presidential race.

I'm doing this project this year as well. I started a private Pinterest board to hold my ideas. So far, I have saved a few quotes and art pieces and other inspiration that came up on a search on some of my words. For example, I started with "exuberance", which is a word my husband uses to describe me, and it lead me to all kinds of inspiration, including ideas of how to capture that concept with a photo. I also searched on things my son loves (Calvin & Hobbes, for example), which brought up a number of ideas. I'm also referring to my One Little Word words, since I've already given some thought to those.
I'll use the Pinterest board as inspiration for my photos. On days when I don't have time or forget the photo, I'll use a quote or something visually interesting from my board.

carolynhasacat, love the idea of using quotes or other visuals in addition to your photos. breakfastattiffanys, love the idea of the freedoms we enjoy as well. Definitely thankful for those.
