I stopped in at Michaels yesterday to pick up something small and while I was standing in the checkout line I saw the Cameo 3. Somehow seeing it makes me think I have to have it now! I showed incredible restraint (no idea where it came from) and managed to leave the store with only my $2 item, but it got me thinking about whether or not I should upgrade. I have one if the very first Cameos that were released and I have to admit that I love it and couldn't live without it!! There's nothing at all wrong with it... I'm sure I will get a few more years out of it, but ... anyone upgrade? What are your thoughts?

I still have the first version... besides the wireless option, I have no real interest to buy a new one unless mine breaks! (knock on wood)

I have the Cameo 2. No way I could justify the upgrade since I only bought mine earlier this year! The lack of wireless printing ability doesn't bother me because my Cameo sits right beside my laptop.

I guess the only other big development is the auto blade. How are you finding that nicolep?

So far so good. I only had that one issue but it was because my font was an intricate pattern and I had the setting wrong. Duh.

And it does have the dual blade carriage which saves swapping things out all the time.

I have the original, too. The only thing that would cause me to upgrade would be the ability to cut 12x12 cut files. So far that's not important to me.

Ok... you've convinced me to keep my original Cameo! It does everything I need it to do and works perfectly!

Yes, mine is the SD, purchased at my LSS many years ago. It is a work horse, that's for sure!

I have a Silhouette Cameo that I got in 2010 or 2011 and have used it a ton. DH bought me the 3 for our anniversary last month and I am ashamed to say that it is still in the box. In my defense, we moved back to Florida in June and I am still painting, cleaning, updating 3200 sq ft of living space as well as working on the pool/lanai/yard areas.
