I have the old black and pink Sizzix Big Shot. I was on Amazon looking at Sizzix items and someone is selling that model for $931.00! Maybe I should post mine for an even $900. I could get the new Big Shot Plus, a ton of dies, and have money left over for a Silhouette as well . (BTW the retro Big Shot goes for under $100.00 on eBay).

Well, I guess the buyer is hoping someone is really into black and pink. Sometimes eBay prices are crazy. I always wonder if things like that actually sell. If you see lots of bid activity, I say go for it!

I see those big prices on Amazon sometimes. I wonder if they meant 93.00? Or they just don't really want to sell it.

It is done when things are out of stock. You'll see random things marked up multiple times their value by a seller while waiting for inventory instead of removing the listing until it returns to stock. It's a common eBay practice. I think it has to do with fees and such being less to just alter the price.

I see crazy prices listed on amazon sometimes. I don't get it. Recently it was a book. Just your run of the mill kid's book. I know Amazon shows recommended ages for most books and I was looking it up for that purpose and someone wanted over 90 bucks for a book selling for under 5.00 elsewhere. Not signed. Not first edition. No rare collector's edition. Just the basic book. Weird.

I have posted before that I was told that a company who does not have an item in stock will keep the ad on Amazon but put it at an outlandish price so no one will buy it but they don't have to relist the item.
So essentially when an item has a high price it means they don't have it but hope to get it. Ebay does it too. One time I paid a high price for a scrapbook album and they had to refund my money because they couldn't get it in a timely way.
