So...as a bit of a S/O of all the colour preference threads ,I have noticed that the ubiquitous pink/turquoise /gold that seems to be in just about every new collection these days does NOT appear with the same frequency on layouts in the gallery. In fact, there is hardly any.The same seems to be true for the gallery at Scrapbook.com as well. I find that very interesting. Who is using all the pink and gold? Are the pink and gold lovers hoarding and not using ? Does pink and gold not match with photos very well? Inquiring minds want to know.......

Not me because I don't buy the pink stuff and I am so tired of seeing all the pink and turquoise. Not a fan of the gold either.

I love pink, but I HATE pink and gold together.

I only tend to use gold for wedding and prom pages, and sometimes valentine's day. But I haven't used pink for any of those.

I love pink and turquoise both together and separately and would happily use them until the end of time. I like gold too and even like it with pink and turquoise but only in small doses.

I just thought it interesting that what is in the shops online is not what is in the galleries and thus not what people are using. Perhaps there's a lag where people hang onto new stuff before using. I like to use new stuff ASAP!

I don't care for pink and I hate gold. Turquoise/teal is my favorite color and I love to pair it with navy blue, gray, and coral colors.

Well you sent me off to the gallery searching for the pink and gold. When I look at my own gallery I use a fair bit of pink (at least in the pages I post online) but I tend to use yellow rather than gold. I do still use bits of gold but it's mostly with other colour schemes (or with turquoise) and it tends to be limited to a bit of gold scalloped glitter tape, foiled labels, or colour shine mist.
For me pink and gold feels very pretty or very vintage and most of my photos aren't like that. I anticipate I will use lots of pink with gold mist for my Cuba photos as it seems to fit my memories of the feel of Havana.

Well, I admit to liking that colour combo - but I don't use a lot of gold. I am a huge fan of turquoise though!

Hmm...that is interesting! I've always believed that there's a bit of a disconnect between design team scrapping and everyday, just-for-me scrapping. Less pressure to keep up with the trends.

I don't think I've ever used gold except eyelets/brads. I'm more of a silver person
pink? I rarely use - I have 2 girls and I don't think either of them owns ANYTHING pink - I know I don't really either.
I tend to draw from the photos when choosing colours so...

When i sorted my embellishments by color the turquoise/aqua container was overflowing, followed by the pink container in quantity. I had to put purple in the pink box because I had ONE item. ETA: This was mostly kit contents so not influenced by my preference or choice.

I use tons of pink. I use it in gallon, quart and pint sizes with all sorts of colors - blues (from navy to light), blue/green's, greens, yellow, and orange. But I did a quick search through my layouts with pink and only 2 of them have gold as an accent.
As the kit clubs get more pink/gold combos in them, we'll probably see more in the galleries.

I like that color combination but have used it only on a couple layouts (mother's day and something else around Easter/spring) because...
1. the kids I have left at home are boys and I don't have a ton of pics of my adult DDs 2. I don't wear or decorate with pink so it doesn't match pictures
I stopped my last kit club because they just didn't stop with the pink/peach every.single.month. As much as I love, love, love Felicity Jane (to which I subscribe currently) I'm not going to be able to do much more of the pastel flowers because I just don't *use* it and I only have so much room to collect those pretty black and white boxes.

I haven't bought many of the new kits that come with pink and gold. I do use both colors, just not often together. I have more turquoise. Lately I've been buying more masculine or neutral papers or oceany ones for my trip last spring
