I am planning a trip to Cancun (hopefully) at spring break in March for me and my 18 year old son. I see on the description about some resorts that say adults only. Of course he is an adult but I'm wondering if it will be mostly couples and we would feel out of place being mother and son? I've seen some resorts that say couples only and we will stay away from those.
Any recommendations on resorts in Cancun would be appreciated also.
Thanks, Kimberly

I spent a week at the Hiatt Zilaria in Cancun in January a few years ago. It's adults only, which means no kids running around, screaming in the pool, etc. They have a family property right next door. I don't think you'll feel out of place at all. I went with a group of friends.

I don't know Cancun, but have been to several Adults Only resorts in Greece and Croatia. There were not only couples, but groups of friends, sisters, adult families and more. Couples Only is different.

I have lots of girlfriends that take girls trips to adult only resorts. Worse case scenario someone will think he's your companion. Should be interesting when you check into the hotel and they ask if you need one bed or two. Happened to my father and I, so uncomfortable! lol
