I got tickets for Siberian Orchestra and each ticket came with a code for a CD download. I got the codes a few days ago. I wonder if this is becoming a new trend.

I'd like to see that show Maybe because people don't really buy whole albums anymore? That's possible. I have no idea what I'm going to do with them as I don't even own a mp3 player of any sort. I can't wait for the concert. It's on my birthday and the tickets are my gift to myself. The kids are going with us and that's their gift to me - they're going and they're gonna like it. They just don't know it yet  I should download one and listen to it soon. |

When Matt Nathanson released his last album he (his people-ha!) sent codes for each ticket purchased for MP3 album.
I think I need me some Bon Jovi tickets!

Prince did this years ago with the Musicology CD.
From Wikipedia: Part of the album's chart success is due to concertgoers receiving a copy of Musicology, with the album cost included in the ticket price for the Musicology Tour. This prompted Billboard magazine and Nielsen SoundScan to change its chart data methodology: For future album releases, Billboard says that customers "must be given an option to either add the CD to the ticket purchase or forgo the CD for a reduced ticket-only price."[7]
