So...I put 4 packs in my cart and then realized they were going to charge me $20.99 for shipping. Um..NO! Good grief. I got all excited. I'm not crazy for thinking this is outrageous for shipping am I? ETA: Kind of defeats the purpose of 50% off! Here is the link.

That shipping is really high. I looked and decided not to order.

I don't even dare think what it'd cost to bring it all the way here. I buy my scrapping cardstock locally - though I have been known to import Papertrey Ink cardstock for card making because it's such good quality

I hate when companies gouge like that for "Shipping & Handling"! I have walked away from more than one full cart when I went to check out and realized the extra costs were more than the product itself. And being in Canada, I usually can't take advantage of the "free shipping" specials, either.

Michaels had a great deal on CS a while ago and I got 3 big shopping bags full of it. I really have enough cardstock to last me forever and ever. I do use at least 2 sheets per layout but at the rate I am going I have enough for how many lifetimes? This is after getting rid of at least 18" of it, too. I love cardstock, though. What can I say?

I think about 3-5 months ago I got the same thing from Joanne's online - same price. And the shipping was free.

I don't think they are gouging prices intentionally. They don't default to USPS anymore and have a lot of shipping options. Have you tried contacting them to see if there is a way to refund the extra cost and change your shipping to medium priority? This is one thing that makes me happy to be relatively close to Utah. I'm not a big cardstock person, but I have purchased in bulk many of the 12x12 AC cardstock themed assortments from the AC Warehouse Sale. Other times I picked them up from Joann.com. The scrapbook section (except Lawn Fawn) is typically half off for Black Friday predictably, so if you're really needing to stock up, it wouldn't hurt to order in a couple of weeks. I'm still dealing with them regarding the Bella Blvd Spooktacular collection. I bought the ephemera, 6x8 pad and 2 tabbies...they only sent 1 of the tabbies and because they order enough to fill orders (hence the 3-5 or 5-7 business day delay before shipping) they have to look and see if they even have any extra to send me before they determine if a refund is required or they can send me the missing item. I'm bummed about it, mostly because I opened the order several hours after I received it (so I could have gotten the ball rolling on fixing this sooner if I had opened it right away) hoping it would lift my spirits after having a rough evening with my anxiety and instead of improving my mood, it just added to the funk I was in all evening.

No because I didn't go on with the order after I saw the price for shipping.
