I work in an ICU and I always make small gifts for my co-workers. This year I am making a little card with a candy cane attached. I work with several Jewish nurses and doctors. What would you suggest for some small token for them in this holiday season? I thought about giving some chocolate gelt. Would that be appropriate with a small card attached?

What is gelt? (Signed, little blonde protestant girl) Coins (now conveniently and affordably made of chocolate) Janet, I think that sounds like a lovely gift

Gelt is great. Or you could make chocolate covered pretzels and put sprinkles on them in Hanukkah colors.

Thanks for helping out. I do like the pretzel idea. I even have some melting chocolate. I'll have to scout out some blue/silver sprinkles.
Thanks again.

I think a card w/gelt is a lovely gift. I would be really touched that you took the time to choose a gift specific to my faith.

Gelt is great. Or you could make chocolate covered pretzels and put sprinkles on them in Hanukkah colors. I did this for a friend one Hanukkah/Christmas. She loved it! I kept it simple with thick pretzel sticks and white and milk chocolate, sprinkles blue sugar and little silver balls, put in a goody bag with blue and white ribbon. She later told me she loves all the treats at the holidays and appreciates anything given whether it's Christmas color themed or not. But that recognizing her faith just added something special.
