I love seeing the purple. I love her challenge to give President Elect Trump a chance. I love her shout out to the Pant Suit Facebook Group. And I love her challenge to young people to realize losses happen but to keep trying.
What were your thoughts?
ETA: It wasn't over yet when I started this thread...
Edited to correct her title.

What's up with the shaky camera work?

I honestly don't know how she kept it together. Pretty remarkable. I wish I had the same faith in America that she does.

I liked her speech too, encouraging those to always fight for what they believe. Keep working hard, even when knocked down.

I thought both Trump and Clinton gave great speeches. I hope we all take their words to heart. But from looking at other threads on this site, it's not looking too positive

Great speech. I can't imagine the roller coaster of the last 24 hours.

I cried. I have been unbelievably disappointed ever since last night. Frustrated, horrified, devastated. But, I kept it together until her speech.
I don't want this to be our reality.

And her shout out to little girls <3 What's up with the shaky camera work? The cameras are probably up on stage decks in the back of the room and the lenses are probably zoomed in. Anyone standing on that deck behind a camera who moves even just a tiny bit will make incredible lens shake. It's incredibly frustrating and I hate doing pool work like that for this very reason.

I love her so much. I wasn't really FOR anyone until the 3rd debate. I hadn't watched before because I hate Trump and everything that he is so much and in order to watch, I was forced to listen to him, too. But, I decided to watch and her decorum and her professionalism and her everythingism that Trump is not made me firmly on her side. I expected nothing other than her to be gracious and classy.

Her speech started as soon as I got to my son's school, so I watched the entire time he was on the playground before the bell and it ended just as soon I got back to the car with my other 2 kids. I cried several times, too. I hurt for her like she's my own mother. She felt firsthand just how backwards thinking so much of this nation continues to be and how women are still considered lesser because of their genitalia regardless of how better qualified they are for the job.

I'm not even American and I just cried watching . What a missed opportunity . Such a dignified speech - I cannot imagine what his would have been had the roles been reversed .

I thought it was very well done and classy. I wish she had given more speeches that had that flavor/tone during the campaign. Something about it hit me a different way than her other speeches.

I liked the tone of her speech, as well as Obama's. cindyupnorth, purple is a mixture of red and blue. I think the color was meant to symbolize unity.

I haven't heard the whole speech but I have no doubt, despite how rigorous the campaign was, this speech was probably the hardest moment for her.

She was real. It reminded me of the New Hampshire interview in 2008. She's always struggled to connect with people - particularly in giving speeches - particularly on tv. I think she often so controlled - not wanting to misstep that her humanity doesn't come through.

All three President elect Donald Trump, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama gave moving speeches I truly hope that we all take their advice and come together as a country in peace and work together.

I only heard a snippet of what Trump said, but it def. sounded far more presidential and reasonable than anything I've heard him utter to this point. Gave me a glimmer of hope.

You should watch it - at least the beginning in it's entirety - gets a bit long when he start thanking everyone and their brother. I was pleasantly surprised at just how conciliatory he was and truly hope he approaches his presidency with that mindset.
