I would also add for me personally that in addition to the reasons listed- I grieve because I didn't listened closely enough. The groups that are not cis and white tried to tell us how bad it was- and I didn't believe them. Now I do.

Exactly!
I don't care that Hillary lost. I am devastated at the potential shitstorm this is going to cause for minorities and the vulnerable.
Within minutes of Trump's win, a transgendered person started receiving hateful, loathesome comments on his FB page. The individual tagged others and they piled on. He is feeling quite hopeless at present.
Personally, I feel as if what we saw in NC with the restrooms is going to sweep this nation. I look for hate groups to become active again.
Every individual deserves their rights.

The hate groups have always been active but cheeto winning the election has given them permission to come out and be more open about it. Now he wants to pretend, along with many of his supporters that he really didn't promote racism, sexism, bigotry, etc. with his vile mouth and actions.
I listen to people say this is how they felt when Obama won and I want to ask them when he threatened to send people back to their native countries to be murdered, when he bragged about sexually assaulting women, when he mocked disabled people, when he repeatedly lied about things he was videotaped saying. Apples and oranges.
The proof is in the pudding and given his past performance on draining companies then claiming bankruptcy, our financial solvency as a country isn't looking too great either.
People have compared him to Hitler with good reason and those who are not worried for our country are either not paying attention or lacking something.

No matter how many times people say they are not gonna grab you by the pussy, you continue with the same old shit. There will be no more or no less of sexual assault on women then obamas last 8 years, nothing wrong with sending ILLEGAL people back to their country, no more or no less people will mock disabled people then obamas last 8 years, no less shit talking will go on regardless of whether you hear it on tape or not then during obamas last 8 years, so chill the fuck out, he isn't even president yet.

Well there you go, you said it, it must be true. Wow I feel so much better now! How the hell do you know? Since kids in school are already emulating his behavior, people have shared tweets of men who have already declared if it's good enough for him it's good enough for me. You think hate groups aren't loving the fact the cheeto "tells it like it is" which encourages them to be even more hateful? People emulate the behavior of people they admire. With any luck at all he will be convicted of fraud and his orange ass will be in prison.

I'm truly sorry for everyone who is hurting over this election. You (we all) deserve time and understanding. This is difficult for everyone - though some do not know it yet, or maybe just can't see far enough down the road the kind of repercussions this could (and likely will) have.
This is where our faith in the system will be tested the most. We should hope for the best, but start planning for how to deal with the worst should it come about.
Grace and peace to all.

This perfectly sums up what most of us are feeling, I think. In the past, I have had a preferred candidate, but if that candidate lost, I knew we would be ok as a nation. This year, that feeling is absent. The message that was sent by nearly half the voters is very troubling and I now know who those people are from fb - some of them I would have expected, others I am shocked by.

So many things make me sad but most of all the issue of the popular vote. I want to believe that my vote counts, but with the electoral college it doesn't. He said the system is rigged and it is and has been.

So glad someone posted this.
It speaks for me. If I had the writing skills, I could have written it. Yesterday it did feel like I had experienced a death in my family.
Yes I am grieving for the loss of the America I knew.
