Ummm no ma'am...
Trump said he will do it in the 1st 100 days!!! He isn't worried about it being replaced... he just has to destroy it to prove he does what he says he is gonna do... regardless of how many Americans have to suffer in the meantime...
(Sarcastic post) I'm crossing my fingers n hoping Trump can't do a lot of the damage he has promised...

Can he do this without support? I would think he would have many people on both sides of the aisle not supporting the decision without a replacement. He also said he would get rid of Common Core in the first 100 days, but he can't do that.

My thoughts are that he won't be able to do half of what he claimed he was going to do and then everyone will blame it on Obama or HRC...LOL...funny, but not.

Candidates on both sides of the aisle always say things that aren't realistic. I never vote based on promises because then you'll always be disappointed (or not!). The government moves slowly and the economy shifts even slower.

I think you have a tremendous amount of faith in what he says he can do. I don't think he will be able to. Look at Obama's promises to close Guantanamo! Last time I checked, it's still open and he wanted to close in his first 100 days! Truth is, campaign promises are just that and they're made to be broken because once reality sets in, suddenly people become a lot more careful and reasonable about what they want to do vs what the can actually do.

I'll remind everyone we elected a new President on Tuesday, not a dictator. Our system of government is why I always take campaign promises with a great big grain of salt. Presidents are able to do very little without support from Congress (and I want to keep it that way which is why I am NOT a fan of executive orders). PolitiFact has been keeping track of President Obama's 508! campaign promises. Just to refresh one's memory on how reality differs from the campaign trail. This is what they've listed as the 10 ten broken ones:
Top 10 Broken Promises
1. Create a foreclosure prevention fund for homeowners
Obama created a fund, but it failed to meet its own benchmarks for helping homeowners. A special inspector general deemed the program "a colossal failure."
2. Repeal the Bush tax cuts for higher incomes
In 2010, Obama agreed to a deal with Republicans to extend the current tax rates for another two years. He will get another shot at keeping this promise if he wins re-election.
3. Close the Guantanamo Bay Detention Center
Obama has consistently said he wants the facility closed, but he hasn’t found a way to get Congress to agree. Guantanamo Bay remains open. 4. Create cap and trade system with interim goals to reduce global warming
A bill for cap-and-trade passed the U.S. House of Representatives in 2009, but the Senate wouldn’t bite. Now Republicans control Congress, and it’s considered dead.
5. Sign the Employee Free Choice Act, making it easier for workers to unionize
This didn’t get done when Democrats controlled Congress, and now it looks as if it won’t get done at all, thanks to Republican opposition.
6. Allow imported prescription drugs
The White House dropped this pledge as it lured drug makers to get on board with the president’s health care law. The promise hasn’t been heard from since.
7. Sign the Freedom of Choice Act
Candidate Obama said one of the first things he wanted to do was sign abortion rights legislation. President Obama said he had other priorities and wanted to tamp down anger surrounding the issue.
8. Create a public option health plan for a new National Health Insurance Exchange
Congress rejected the idea for a public health insurance option open to everyone. Obama downplayed the fact that it was left out of the final version of the health care law.
9. Introduce a comprehensive immigration bill in the first year
Obama said he would introduce legislation that included a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants. But other priorities -- health care and financial regulation -- seemed to run out the clock.
10. Bring Democrats and Republicans together to pass an agenda
On matters large and small, partisanship is worse than ever.

Exactly, people need to understand that what he said were campaign promises and that is VASTLY different then actually getting anything done. Even he has said he will repeal and replace the ACA but you have to have another plan in place to do this. He may be a sack of shit but he isn't stupid. His meeting with Obama was productive and I believe that reality may be setting in and he is realizing that he cannot do what he promised.
Just like he cannot jail Hillary. Obama can actually pardon her (even without a crime) before he leaves office if he so chooses. His top advisors have told him that he would have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt why he believes she should be arrested when a littany of FBI prosecutors could not come up with anything that was criminal. They have told him that it would be a colossal waste of time and taxpayer money. Just because you don't like the person and don't trust the person, does not mean the person did anything illegal.
