But at least now it was a fair election. LMFAO Can't wait to read his tweets about how unfair the rest of the world is when they won't swallow his BS.

Funny how the election was "rigged" before he won and now it's "open and successful." FLIP FLOPPING IS ONLY FOR LIBERALS. DON'T YOU KNOW THAT TRUMP???

On a serious note, it's quite concerning that less than 48 hours after winning, he's whining about the freedom of the press and right to assemble. Attacking the Constitution isn't a stellar way to kick things off.

What kind of man wins the PRESIDENCY OF THE UNITED STATES and two nights later is on twitter whining about 1st amendment freedom of speech and assembly? And, not only that madness, but a man who said this: We can't let this happen. We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. Our nation is totally divided! link

I guess I didn't have to wait too long to find out. Hey Donald, get used to the protestors, they'll be around for the next 4 years.

Narcissist with impulse control issues. That's who was elected by the majority of your people, that leopard won't change his spots any time soon...I doubt he has the insight to modify his own behaviour. He will always think he can do or say whatever he wants after all that's what he did throughout his whole campaign and he was elected anyway. You've already taught him that - he doesn't need to change, he can say as many ridiculous things as pop into his head, and he's the president now...who can tell him what to or not to do? You wanted a non-political, megalomaniac, loose cannon to run your country - you got it and this is what it will look like.
At first I was so shell shocked that he was elected, but now I'm a bit past that and have moved into anger and I'm at "serves you right" stage. Obviously that's not personally directed at the people here who did not vote for him, it's the general "you" being the Americans who voted for this fool.

I also have to say, where and when did the media incite the protestors? Commentators have been mostly subdued about the whole thing. They went from complete shock to business as usual fairly quickly, which of course, is what they should do no matter who is elected.

I'm starting to think he was right, he could of shot someone in the middle of the street and still been elected. And those who voted for him would insist they don't condone murder or homicide.

50% of us are not the ignorant fucking morons who voted for this steaming pile of shit. We non Americans know that intellectually. We know that "everyone" did not vote for this man, but when you're shocked/angry/worried it is easy to use language that lumps you all together & that's why I wanted to clarify that when I say "you" I actually only mean those who voted for Trump (and I'm pretty sure that's what is generally meant at the moment). I fully appreciate that it has to be extremely tough to be in the position you are in now and you are going to have your country in the hands of the man that you don't like, don't respect and didn't vote for AND with the rest of the world lumping you in with his supporters. it's sad and unfair that as an American you are still going to be part of the global backlash against that man even when you had nothing to do with it.

You summed it up perfectly. In addition to wondering what havoc he and Pence will wreak, there is the embarrassment factor.

no, you all are in the 50% that voted DBO in TWICE. and look at our country after 8 yrs of him! After the great financial crisis of 2007-2008, you'd better believe I'm happy at the strong economy we have now. My family's small manufacturing business almost didn't make it through that mess. It took years to turn it around, but we're thriving now. So thank you very much DBO.

Voted for President Obama and damn proud of it. Better economy in years, got us out of the worst recession in my life time. More equality for all, more protections for the ones that need it. Health insurance for so many that didn't have it. Yes, let's please look at it after 8 years of Pres Obama, it's pretty frickin great.

Yes, LOOK AT IT! The U.S. trade deficit has shrunk by 24 percent; exports have grown faster than imports. The number of immigrants in the U.S. illegally has gone down — by 3.4 percent according to one independent estimate and by 9 percent according to another. The economy has added 9.7 million jobs. The unemployment rate has dropped below the historical norm. The buying power of the average worker’s weekly paycheck is up 4.2 percent. Corporate profits are running 144 percent higher and stock prices have soared. Federal debt has more than doubled. The number of people lacking health insurance has gone down by nearly 15 million (ps the "debt" is long-term and due in great part to Bush's trillion dollar wars while cutting taxes on the wealthy and MedPartD expansion that US will carry for decades).

I'm not very Twitter fluent. Does President Obama tweet? I thought there was some degree of control over social media access to the President. Is there a point where someone can flush Trumps phone so he can't insert the proverbial foot in mouth any longer?

The tenor of Obama's tweets is quite different than Trump's.

Progress? Trump deleted his "very unfair" tweet overnight and tweeted this My quess it wasn't Trump who actuallay did it. It was more than likely his handlers. This new tweet isn't much better. Especially since those "small" group of protestors are protesting against him.

Progress? Trump deleted his "very unfair" tweet overnight and tweeted this Not that it matters but the original is still there. He is unbalanced. And by the way, Mr. President Elect: You work for us now, not the other way around. You want the support of all the people? Start by supporting ALL of the people. It's your job to defend the Constitution, not bitch about it on Twitter. I seriously feel bad for the Secret Service agents who have to comb through the thousands of responses to his tweets. I saw so many people who just wrote "Die" (obviously completely inappropriate). Will they be following up on every single derogatory thing that is tweeted at him? What a waste of the taxpayers money.

Oops, sorry, I thought it was deleted. I agree, it's not much of an improvement but at least it's less whiny. It does appear to be Trump, though. His tweets are all from Twitter for Android. His staffers use iOS.

I'm probably going to be sorry I asked, but as someone that stays out of the political threads:
What exactly does DBO mean when referencing President Obama?
I'm guessing it's an insult. Please enlighten me.
