I have a friend whom I love but he's definitely in the basket, a self-proclaimed angry white man. He's always complaining about jobs, taxes, etc. but if he works 3 days a week he wants a medal. The phrase "trades cotton" comes to mind. (He's in sales. Of some sort.) Anyway, he was waxing poetic about the election results, what it means to hard-working men, etc. and how great DJT was. His wife, who works long hours as a PT, asked. "Does he have a magic formula to get you off your ass?"

Oh my you want trump to fix that? DH was just talking to me yesterday about how people believe that manufacturing jobs are all being lost to overseas laborers but that a study showed that it is actually automation that is the cause of the majority of factory job loss. That's a troubling issue for many, to be sure. But unless any president is going to find a way to actually somehow ban the technology behind the machines, there's not going to be much that can be done about the job loss/shift in jobs due to this particular issue. I think that people of any political beliefs often mistakenly believe that any politician can do far more than they actually can. Save
