I finally went to get a hair cut in the city this week, which meant I had an excuse to go home past Tuesday Morning. There seemed to be a lot of crafty stuff this time, but holy cow was that section a mess! My store had a bunch of dies, mostly Sizzix, but nothing I couldn't live without. They had a few different Punch Boards, some pen sets and coloring books, the pink self healing cutting mats and a load of other stuff. I did pick up some K & Co. vacation stickers, a few pads of MAMBI Cards in an Instant cardstock pads in different colors and a couple packs of letter sized printed cardstock that I can use for cards or other stuff. I was kind of relieved that there wasn't more stuff I "needed," LOL! And since Michael's is in the same mall, I went there too. They reset the entire store and it was set up so weird! Half the aisles were going in one direction and the other half was going a different direction. I felt like I was walking around in circles. Plus there had to have been 30 people waiting in line in the middle of the day on a Friday, so it was pretty easy to just walk out without buying anything.

How frustrating! I hate when the crafty section at TM is messy. I think my store must have a crafter working there now, b/c it's been nice and neat lately.

I've not found much in mine, so I rarely ever go in there. Maybe I will tomorrow.

I hate when happy shopping turns sour. What a disappointment!
And I hate maze style stores that drag you where you don't want to go and you can't find your way back. I like to do a quick scope of what's availabe at what price before I start choosing what I will buy

My TM manager knows I come in every Wed after work. She asked me "Isn't the craft section so much better since we rearranged it?" I wanted to say "NO" because now everything is mixed up and there is a pole with a fire extinguisher sticking out directly opposite all the paper! It's impossible to bend down to search through all the bins of paper. I felt sorry for her, she is so overworked, but she was trying. She never gets a day off.
I'm trying to convince myself I do not need an envelope punch board. I also passed up a set of nesting label dies for $9.99. This week we got in a lot more K&co but not christmas, I'm waiting patiently.

I found a lot of good ephemera this week at Tuesday morning. Dear lizzy, Amy tan, pink paisley. They had a really cute "Yuletide" ephemera pack with clear for 1.49. I saw the same exact one in AC Moore for 4.99 in the same mall same day. Michaels - I keep trying, but not a single thing I want to buy there even with the great coupons. I even have a full drawer of adhesive, so not even adhesive needed to buy. They need to get some more interesting and different things.

I haven't visited my "local" TM in so long because it is quite a drive away, and there are no other stores nearby that hold any interest.
I do miss it, though. I love the treasure hunt aspect of it. Though the last time I went, I didn't find too much I "needed."

stopped by a Tuesday Morning yesterday that was about 25 miles from my house....craft section was small and a bit disorganized, but I did find some thinkers for 99 cents....it looked as if the store was in complete Christmas mode....

I went to the store about 40 miles south of us (smaller town) and they had at least five times what my store carries. Some of it was older, so I don't think they sell as much as my two stores do, but it was a big difference.

The Tuesday Morning closed near me. Boo! Sometimes when that happens, a new and better one pops up nearby. I hope that's the case for you.

The last time I was at Tuesday Morning the scrap section got smaller and had been intertwined with art supplies. There were sketch books, art pencils and blank canvases. It was a little confusing. I haven't been back in about 2 months.

I stayed home all weekend so I would not be tempted by any of the Verterans Day sales. It worked, well until I just made an order with Simon Says Stamps

The craft lady at my Tuesday Morning was putting out totally full carts of craft and stationery items today. I picked up a Jillibean collection pack (3.99) and wood veneer (.99). We R Flower Girl ephemera pack (1.49) and puffy stickers (.99).
I noticed plenty of K and Co, Jillibean Soup, American Crafts, etc.
With the crazy shopping season beginning I just couldn't make a big purchase...plus DD17 was going to drag me out of the store!

I went once and found some okay stuff but nothing worth making me go back. I too enjoy the "hunt"!

Mine has had a bunch of good paper lately. The packs of 25 have great B sides for backgrounds.

Our Tuesday Morning moved to a larger location and really is a beautiful store-except the crafting aisle. I really think it's the customers who make it that way. But I seriously have thought about volunteering to reorganize-I'd love a project like that. Lol

I see customers frequently toss things on the shelf when looking for things. I will move them to another peg if it is too full, but why throw them around so no one can see them?

the other day I found myself putting Testor paints back in their proper color slots at Michaels.

I am so glad to hear that there are other weird/anal/organized (you pick) people out there. The store closest to me will often leave the cart of incoming items in the craft aisle. The manager will always pull the cart out for me if it is in the back. She knows that I will put things on the proper rungs. I get great satisfaction putting the paper packs in the correct place. Ha!

Ha! don't get me started on my Sharpie incident at office depot. they had this large but round bin full of them and some were clipped to the outside of the bin. guess who took it upon herself to finish clipping Sharpies on the rest of the bin rim??
I've also found myself grouping the brands together on the pegs at TM. Thickers together.....dies together.....LOL

Well our store reopened closer to me and is larger and for a while had some good stuff but now it's pretty much just the dregs. Went out of town and stopped at another store and found some Christmas paper pads but my store never got them. At least my store is near Hobby Lobby.

My store hasn't really had much for Christmas paper. There have been a few in the 25 packs, but they have all been solids. They are getting trucks several times a week now until Thanksgiving.
