I started scrapping in 2002 after my daughter was born. I was living in the UK and learned about UKScrappers.
From there I learned about 2Peas and I signed up, but only lurked never posted. My name was CropTart or something along those lines.
I started posting on 2Peas when I moved from London to Cayman in 2005 ? I posted regularly until I moved back to the US in 2011. I wanted to avoid the time suck, as being a single mom was taking enough of my time.
Then when I heard on FB it was closing down I got nostalgic. And joined here and have not shut up!

I started scrapping when my oldest was a baby, 1998. I only knew the direct sales company...forget the name...a friend with a daughter the same age sold it. Any who. I found it boring and too expensive (single income first lieutenant and reservist E-6, we was po...)so I did my own thing for layouts, and at Michaels one day discovered scrapbook magazines. Hoo golly, that was a fun time. I'd put my daughter to sleep at night and recreate layouts in Making Memories and CK until the wee hours. Somehow I saw 2 peas (the CK message board? An ad! I forget) and I came here. I only really used the gallery, I registered but because in 1999 the internet was new to me I used my password as my user name, lol, and when the board switched and I lost it I was glad. Reregistered, lurked. Had another daughter. Moved 97 times. Stopped scrap booking.
Still here, and confirmed never leaving as it has been a huge chunk of my life. My life is extremely transient, and 2 peas has been a constant- if there are just 2 of us left by god one will be me. I may not post a ton but I value this place and all of you a great deal.

It's a bit ridiculous how I found my way here. I used to read one of the Weight Watchers message boards. Someone got in a fight on that board and brought it here. That lead to people from WW coming over to 2peas to continue the fight. I never posted during the fight but I did follow it and liked the 2 peas board so I kept reading. I never registered or posted on 2 peas but I did sign up when this board opened. I don't post a lot but I do read pretty regularly.

I registered there in 2001 about 6 months after I started scrapping with some women at our local scrap store. One of the woman I became friendly with told me she thought I should send my pages in for publication requests and suggested I start hanging out the Pub board at Two Peas. I did for many years but I also discovered the NSBR board and would up spending more time on it.

What a fun and sorely needed thread ! I started scrapbook ing very heavily in 2001, after my first gc was born. I'm pretty sure I found this place through Scrapbook Addict. What memories. My first message board participation.
I came here around 2002. I wish I would have saved my badge from 2Peas. I can't for the life of me remember how many years I was there. If anyone has that info, I would love it.

Like most (it seems), I was buying on-line and participating a lot at dMarie. New sites were popping up -- I heard about TwoPeas, looked, and joined (I also had a number less than 100 before the change)

I got a computer in Jan of 2000. I joined the CKMB after buying the magazines and seeing they had a site. I found peas through there in May of 2001. That was back when CKMB and peas were at "war" lol. It was brutal back then. There was a ton of nastiness and some peas thought they owned the board. I didn't post much at all.

My friend, who was a scrapper, suggested I check the gallery for inspiration. A few days later, I stumbled on NSBR and became a regular lurker for years before I finally registered. I waited several more years before participating.
I don't remember when I started lurking, but it was before the day the board crashed and everyone lost their original Pea number.

I remember seeing an ad in Creative Keepsakes magazine for the store and gallery. I cannot remember if it was after my youngest was born or before so either 2001 or 2002. I did buy something from the store and it became my main source for supplies and ideas for a while after magazines. I don't even remember when I first started posting on the boards. 2000-2006 is pretty much one big blur to me and my memory.

I think I must have joined in 2001/2002. I think my first message board was the CopyKat one, and I followed a small group of ladies to a private message board. I loved that group, but was looking for something more fast-paced and a member suggested NSBR.

I started scrapbooking as a teen in high school. When we got the Internet in late 1996 or early 1997, I went online to try and find scrapbooking sites in the hopes of finding quote inspiration and page title help. I first found DMarie.com, and loved seeing all the layouts! Somehow from there I found 2 Peas, probably from doing a search for page layouts. I spent so much time soaking in all those layouts and techniques the members posted.
When I went to college I got really bored one night and decided to explore the forums so see what was happening over there. I found NSBR and was amazed at how fast that board moved, and the various topics discussed. And the drama! I didn't join for a long time. But I read and read. I think I finally joined and started posting in 2003 or 2004.

I started cardmaking before I started scrapping. I don't remember dates too well but I know it was after 2001. I probably switched more to scrapping a couple of years later. I was a member of UKScrappers - made some good friends, even went on vacation with a group of them a couple of times. I found 2Peas because I wanted more inspiration, I think the UKScrappers boards were getting kind of slow. I mainly used 2Peas for the gallery to start with. Then for the GS board. Eventually I made the switch to NSBR after lurking for quite a while, and that's been my 'home' ever since (although I do still pop into GS now and then). According to my siggy I joined in 2008 - not sure if I lurked for a while before actually signing up, it sure feels like it's been more than 8 years some days!

I think I joined in 2004 or 2005. My friend (nicoles3boys) told me about it. She left the old 2Peas way before it shut down but I'm still here.

Got heavy into scrapbooking in about 1999-2000. Found two peas through Scrapbook.com. Used to shop there and frequented their gallery and message boards but found them too "la-tee-da, birds, flowers and trees". They would reference the Peas as that "vegetable site" and talk about how mean people were so I had to see for myself. Liked what I saw, lurked for a long time and not sure when I joined but it has been quite a while.

I started scrapbooking in 1999 and joined then. I was in law school and lived in Manhattan; I had a summer job in New Hampshire and frankly had way too much free time (my husband was working in NYC), so picked up both scrapbooking and quilting that summer. When I got back home, I discovered that at the time, it was pretty much impossible to get scrapbooking supplies in the city, so I had to do my ordering online. Two Peas was one of the sites with the biggest selections of product at the time (I am now trying to think of other companies I may have used).
I wasn't that active on the message boards, even though I was a relatively early member; I mostly participated on the scrapbooking board, not NSBR, until the last year or so of the site.

My mom started scrapbooking with whatever the home party company was back in the early 90s, and she bought me all the basic 'stuff' for Christmas my third year of university so that I could scrapbook my year as an exchange student (1989-90!). I continued on using their supplies for a few years (my wedding album is one of theirs--what was their name again?!!), and then when my daughter was a baby (1999), started going to the first 'real' scrapbooking stores in my city. I went to weekly crops for a few years, and then we moved to a new city, and the stores were much farther away from my house, and I didn't know any babysitters yet! That was 2001, and I started going to the CK site, which led me to 2Peas. I've been here ever since--I'm on my third username, and don't post much, but read pretty much daily. When I'm talking to people about something I've seen here, I often say, "my message board, where I get my news of the world"!

I've been scrapbooking since 1999 but I don't think I found two peas until I moved to Iowa a few years later and I think a friend recommended the gallery. It was probably a few months after that when I discovered the NSBR board. I was shocked at some of the drama. 😄 I rarely posted on the old site but I've made it a point to do more here. Crazy it's been so long.

I first heard about 2 Peas when I bought my first scrapbooking mag in the summer of 2000, and signed up. I looked around but never posted. A couple of years later I re-signed up and have been here ever since.

A scrapbooking friend told me about the gallery on 2Peas. I looked at it and fell in love with Heather Ann's (Melzer)layouts. She had a daughter just a couple months older than mine and I got so many great ideas from her. I loved looking at the gallery every day and was printing out and saving so many beautiful layouts! I loved the General Scrapping board and The Pub! It was a few years before I ever looked at NSRB. Once I looked, I was addicted to NSBR! That was when the gallery was slowing down and The Pub ladies that I participated with (the Morning Thread) left.
I love all the ideas, favorite products, beauty and cleaning tips I get here!

I know it was early 2000s because my college boyfriend bought me a twopeas shirt in 2002 or 2003. I started with Creative Memories scrapbooking and expanded from there.

I must have joined up pretty early on but was a lurker for years. For a good chunk of that time I never even logged on. Then when everything was hitting the fan with Archiver's, I Googled that to see what else I could read about it and 2Peas popped up. I hadn't even looked at it for years but still had my login and password written down in my Rolodex so I thought, "What the heck?" I was home with my baby and had time to kill, and that was when I really started joining in the conversations over there. It was maybe a year or so later they shut down, and when this group started I jumped right in and never looked back. I remember the stamping boards at AOL, Jangle and ScrapJazz too.

I started scrapbooking in 1997. I was mostly a lurker on the AOL message boards. I had trouble viewing the site after an upgrade, so I went looking elsewhere. Now I'm wondering if it was CK that led me here. Because I honestly don't remember.

I actually signed up at dMarie and tried to join in a conversation and one of the regulars attacked me about my username. It was vague and she explained that nobody would interact with me if my real name wasn't in the username somewhere. She pointed it out on the thread and also personal messaged or emailed me about it. I was mortified! Needless to say that was my only post there. Then I became a pea. Ahahahahaa!! Good thing you never needed a thicker skin here. haha! Found two peas through Scrapbook.com. Used to shop there and frequented their gallery and message boards but found them too "la-tee-da, birds, flowers and trees". They would reference the Peas as that "vegetable site" and talk about how mean people were so I had to see for myself. I'm pretty sure I got to the original site through them as well. I was fascinated with the gallery at 2Peas for inspiration. I participated on the SB and swap boards much more heavily than the NSBR in the beginning. But one the NSBR sucked me in, there was no going back. I was really glad when this site formed after 2Peas folded. ---------------- Edited to add: I started scrapbooking in 1991 after the birth of my first son. There were virtually NO supplies available back then. You had ugly paper, deco scissors, stickers, and glue.

I started scrapbooking I think around year 2000. I found 2peas when I was searching for quotes or cute sayings for pages and things from the Pea Soup came up in my search. From there, I navigated around the rest of the website.

I don't remember exactly how I got to 2Peas, but it was either in 2000 or 2001, when my youngest dd was a baby. I had started scrapbooking in earnest-- sort of. I do have several completed scrapbooks, subscribed to every magazine, and even had a couple of pages published in Memory Makers, but in the end I became an armchair scrapbooker. Meaning that I read about scrapbooking, thought about it a lot, and of course, collected supplies--but I really didn't actually scrapbook anymore. As of today, I have gotten rid of most of my scrapbook supplies and it's a fun memory.
Initially, I spent most of my time on the GS board (primarily lurking). I think it was awhile before I ventured over to NSBR, and then I just never left. It remains my 'home on web'. I'm not a big presence on the board, but I'm not leaving anytime soon.

I started scrapping in 2005, about a year after DD was born. I really was just dabbling and had no idea what I was doing. I also had no idea that there was a whole scrapbooking universe out there. By 2007, I had gotten to a point where I was doing more of it and needed some advice on things like adhesives and trimmers and such. I was Googling around for some advice and came across the Two Peas scrapbooking forum. I registered so I could ask some questions and then started poking around a bit. Wow! The whole scrapbook universe opened up and the angels sang... And then I discovered NSBR and that was that. I was a lost soul.
