It doesn't bother me at all! I almost never do a double page, so most of my albums are singles.

Not at all. I love it when the pages in my album are all different. I only add similar paper if I intend the 2 layouts to go together or read as one.

I am a single page person. If I have more pictures than can fit on one page I either remove some pictures (gasp) or start a second one-page layout with similar colors/papers.

It would drive me nuts. Two pages with non-coordinating colors, or worse, clashing colors, would totally ruin the layout for me and make it impossible to appreciate the work involved or the pictures. It would also interrupt the story I'm telling.
I scrap chronologically. My brain simply can't wrap itself around any other way. So I know going in how large a layout is going to be and plan accordingly. The pages don't need to be matchy matchy, but a subtle repeat of patterns, colors, and accents makes for a more cohesive feel for me. Some pages will be brighter than others or more playful throughout the book, but the ones telling the same story, need to be similar and able to coexist and not distract my eye.
