In case you've missed it.....  I was beyond horrified when this came up on my Facebook feed earlier today. This disgusting POS has since deleted her comment and made a half arsed apology.... you know the kind..... (paraphrasing here) "I apologize if I've offended anyone"  It angered me so much that I signed the petition calling for the resignation of both women involved. |

So wrong! AussieMeg, I understand why you won't address Melania's class. But as a conservative, I was shocked at how accepting other conservatives were of Melania's past nude photos when they absolutely would have eviscerated Michelle Obama or any other liberal whose past included such pictures. I know it, they know it, we all know it. But thank you for showing restraint. You've got class! |

Thanks AussieMeg I guess I missed it. Somehow this one (among so many) really hit me. Tears. I've been thinking of sharing the following but haven't yet. I know you "know" my DD and have one of your own. She goes to a small college in Madison WI. She (as I know you know) has always been for the underdogs, critters and people. The other day after the election she and a friend (or 2?) walked to a free art museum there to visit and get swing dance lessons of all things. Anyway, they were walking a inside "bridge" of sorts from old and new part of museum. She looks outside and what does she see but a peaceful march on the way to the capital. Only her. She goes swing dancing and a peaceful march breaks out. She said it was one of the best things she ever did. Just love all around, young, old, all colors, religions and nationalities. And a T-Rex. (someone in front of her in costume/coat I saw in her pictures) She saw two young Muslim college girls and simply said "I'm sorry" and before you knew it they were in a deep hug. It was very organized and peaceful. There was a 3 minute moment of silence for those loss to hatred/violence?(-I think) They had people representing black, white, disabled, women, men, Muslim and on and on giving a short speech to tell their stories. She was moved as I was just hearing from her. I was worried as crazy sh*t can happen in any large group with provocation and mob mentality. She assured me that it was safe as that town is used to it and rare instances of trouble. The police seem to have little concern. She did make the mom in me happy as she called as soon as she was headed back to the dorm to give me the all clear. Why am I posting it here? Because this stupid woman in your post made me sad to hear more bad. Here's some good. And peaceful. And because "I know you", you reminded me of this, I thought you might appreciate. And somehow I feel the need to overcome/cancel out the hurtful thing this woman said. (I need to feel better) <<<good,peaceful people coming together shown in 1 picture from DD |
