Can't seem to get anything done this morning. Have lots of scrappy supplies (many of them new and screaming at me: this will be FUN! Open the package! USE me!). Have tons of ideas, and plans written down for what I want/need to do scrapwise. Lots of projects on the go. Have a couple of hours with the house to myself and a fresh pot of coffee.
And I got... NOTHING....
Tried a new technique that I think might work another day... not today. Started a Christmas card that SHOULD be pretty, and easy to assemble... stopped halfway through.
So far, all I have is a messy room and inky fingers, and... NOTHING!
Have a list of things that need to be done in town later, and a hair appointment. Guess I will just walk away from this room, take a shower, and see if I have any more luck with the rest of my day...

I definitely get those days!
I also get the nights when I get home from work, kids go to bed at a decent hour, I have so much desire to scrap, but not a lick of energy.

It's so sad when that happens...and it does! Hopefully you get a burst of creativity soon.

When that happens i usually organize my space. I get to touch and revisit my scrappy stuff with no pressure to execute. Sometimes i need visions of all those things i haven't looked at to find inspiration. I also find it easier when i limit my options so i don't end up waffling over choices. Pick 5 items and make them work. Even if it doesn't come out great i think it's a good exercise for your creativity.

and Why do they always seem to happen when you actually have some uninterrupt-able time?! When I sneak into the craft room with the possibility of an interruption at any time I get lots done. When hubs takes the kids out for an afternoon and I have the house to myself, I twiddle my thumbs wondering what to do??!! Sorry you were having a hard time this morning, grammadee. I'm sure you'll be back in the swing tomorrow!
